like genuine said on the other board. AWD cars simply cannot be tested on a 2WD dyno. so they're SOL as far as we're concerned.

they wouldnt get a chance to try, because hopefully the owner wouldnt let them, but supposing they did, the front/rear tires would send the car flying over their crafty little ramp things

i believe they can still test evo's, they don't use the dynos, they use a 2 idle speed test, like the way they used to so smogs before they started using the dyno's. the dealership that i work for smogged an STi the other day using this method.... just watch out those with test-pipe's :police:

they rev to what like 2000 in neutral. uh, whats that like 400mmHg vacuum. thats like no pollution. but when building boost, thats a different story, but we dont have to worry about that

I actually drove by a mobile smog station that was set up 2 blocks from my home today. The CHP was there picking random cars. I spotted some older and some modded cars that were being tested on their dyno. Glad I wasn't driving my EVO since my friend informed me earlier before I left home.
BTW, the station was on Magnolia BLVD off the 170.
