Anybody find out when the (PS3) is going to be released?

I also wanted to know if video game stores are taking pre-orders and will "Vision Gran turismo" (GT5) be released on the day of the (PS3's) launch. If (GT5) comes out the day of the launch I will have release party @ my house (on me) and everyone from here will be invited. I'll have a BBQ ready and I would like to ask all those who are coming (if this happens) to bring some food and help pitch on a party.

there isnt a date set yet. gdc is in the end of this month and e3 is in may. so maybe there wil be some info released at one of those.

I did a bunch of research this weekend and this is what I came up with:

Sony claims it will be released in Spring 2006 (Japan), then September 2006 (US and elsewhere)

Most websites foresee early 2007 as most likely. Go to www.1up.com (http://www.1up.com) - they have a good write-up about the hardware, etc.

Sony is saying the they might have a "worldwide Muilti-launch" of the PS3 in November (Asia,north america,Europe). So keep your "Ass-cheaks" tight and keep your fingers crossed. O0
