1. Make sure you get a oil return line gasket (turbo to line)
2. You have to use Evo 8 Oil return line
3. You should use Evo 9 IC outlet pipe
4. The most important part!Â* Go to RRE and get a IC outlet pipe welded and fitted!!Â* Â*O0

the turbo outlet if using a evo 8 one comes out but its in the way of the DP, so w/ the new pipes it moves around the dp to give you clearance!

can you post pics ... from what i understand, theres a reason why the buschur installation kit is required in order to install the IX turbo on the VIII 's ..

turbo outlet is different - have to fab (only thing you need to buy or make)
oil outlet is different - use evo 8
Oil lines different - can bend
coolent lines little different, but can use stock hoses to cover it

Wouldnt it be possible then too just use the oem 8 lower ic pipe cut it to length then use a silicon hose and t bolt clamps to connect up to the IX turbo pipe?
Just a thought :coolsmiley:

yeah that was my orginal idea, but then the silicon hose will bend and probably will hit the dp, you can try it but it probably will not work as well as getting a pipe.

Jeff - did you feel any seat-of-the-pants changes between the two turbos? Pros or cons?

after i installed it i drove around didn't feel much, then i push it wow..... Mid to top i can feel a big difference!! thats w/ no tune straight 91 map on my 03 oe turbo. When everyone buys more stuff from me ill ask dr gray to have my care tuned. In terms of responsiveness it feel almost the same hitting full boost around 4k. I really think ill get like 30+whp but we have to see it will be dynoed on a different dyno so #s might not serve the comparison purpose.

YEah i have to agree whith you on that i was just looking at that install kit pix scrolling up and looks like that are awhere the pipe ends at prolly is close to the DP, end up with a hole in the coupler as a result. Damnit! O well =X
