I just finished reading about the Zonda Roadster F - all carbonfiber (unpainted) body, 640 hp from a 7.3L AMG V8... 1230 kgs. Awesome stuff...

The Zonda is one of my top 10 least favorite cars of all time thanks to Gran Turismo 3. :2funny:

Yeah, that thing handles like a "rollercoaster on the rails" from what I hear.

Note I said *least* favorite car. The thing handles like a rollercoaster OFF the rail and on ice in GT3. It's a pile of ass in the game.

It's because you don't know how to drive a car on "GT"

I'd rather have a Zonda F... Actually rarer than an F1, better built (I'll take 2006-era CF construction over 1992-era), modern amenities (ABS, etc.).
The McLaren is damn sexy, but if I had to pick, it'd be a Zonda F in bare carbonfiber finish.

well that would make it rare. say, 1 in the whole world (if they didnt build another one just for you)
i dunno just the front appearance is a little off the wall. i would be happy with a mere CCR (because thats so much cheaper and less exclusive :2funny: )

mmm CCR... Might not be the best, but it's automotive porn.

I know of at least 3 Zondas in the world (Zonda C12, Zonda C12S, Zonda F Roadster) in bare CF (w/clearcoat, etc. - it's a $28,000 option :-o). The latest I've read is that there are a total of 63 Zondas (all types since '99) that have left the factory.

Since they know the CF will be visible to all to see/criticize/etc. they lay a very fine weave of special CF. Supposedly the weave is VERY fine and even. They are serious craftsmen in CF. When you buy a car like that, the attention to detail is a big part of what you pay for.
