Finally got my EVO out to LACR last night. This run was @ 26 psi , had a slight boost leak but will be corrected this week... in time for IDRC ;)

DOOMID - what power levels do the stock drivetrain give out? or what times were you hitting when it decided to grenade?

I want to tap into the 11s on the stock drivetrain and work from there on.. hitting 12.5 right now on the stock drivetrain @ LACR

it really depends on the setup and the way you drive the car and most of all the tune. The drivetrain is tough. In my 03 I went 11.89 @ 130 mph with 35r, 260 cams, s-afc and flash, exedy twin plate stock everything else. had so may problems shifting second and missing gears. With the 6 speed in the mr @ high rpms it was so slopp to shift i would do alot of 2-5 shifts. As for the bottom end lasting it really depends on setup and tune, I never blew up the stock motor on the MR, i had ported head,cams, big turbo you name it with the stock block and i beat the hell out of it and it loved it. I had an incident at cal speedway infield while road racing and the intake manifold grenaded. I then told Mehraz @ Team D no more F*cking around, pull the motor and here I am.
You can get into the 11s with stock drivetrain, but for how long you can beat on it til something gives ya never know....just be prepared with your budget before you push it...see you at the track be sure to come by and say whats up. You should aslo come to IDRC this upcoming weekend.

Oh, thats is noticeable, but because the video was at night + the Graphit grey color, it made it a bit harder to notice.
