I haven't seen a thread about the biggest POS car you've ever owned, so I thought it might be interesting to do so. For me it was a new '86 Lincoln Continental. I had more problems with that piece of shit in just six months than I have ever had with all my other cars put together! Damn, what a worthless pile of junk! I heard of other people with the same year with lots o' problems too, so it wasn't just mine.* * * * *Bill* *:tickedoff:

My 71 Renult r12. It met it's demise one day, while driving down the road with four of us in it(looked like a clown car), a woman made a left turn in front of me, I slamed on the brakes, the pizza cutter tires stopped turning, but the car kept going at the exact same speed. Bam! all four of us got out rubbing our sore knee's. It was the best thing that could have happened to that POS though. On the bright side, the insurance gave me $500 for it, even though I only paid $300 when I bought it a couple of weeks earlier.

My 99 m3. By far. Worse then the Chevy. :buck2:

Went back to the dealer about million times for warrenty work... I mean jeez, things just kept breaking on that car. Such a giant disappointment. :buck2:

It's the only car that's ever left me stranded.

I had a 1995 Eclipse GS. Stupid Dodge 420a engine I should have known it was a pos :tickedoff:. In one year I replaced the tranny, AC and P/S Belts, Timing belt blew (it litterly blew into pieces) Worse part I was on a date with this girl I really wanted to get with (along with other things ) when it blew . But she didnt care we still had a good time, in fact while we waited for the tow turck we hang out in the backseat. Were getting married later this year .

My '72 VW Bug wasn't a POS until I thrashed on it (which is why your first car should always be a cheap one), but the biggest POS has to have been my '93 Ford T-Bird....WOW. Hmmmm $1300 to get the air conditioning fixed, then when my seatbelts (motorized of course) got stuck with the chime in my ear from downtown LA to San Clemente (where I lived at the time), it was off to the Honda dealer the next morning to trade in for the S2000....

1981 Ford Bronco w/ 351M400. It leaked coolant, oil, and transmission fluid. Carb needed to be rebuilt too, but everytime I cranked it over it started no problem. Was great in the snow when I lived in Chicago.

86 Nissan Sentra, passed down from moms. It was the bucket while I was turboing my 91 Isuzu Stylus. Used to go to the Etiwanda street races back in the good ol' days (94). The first time they ever did a huge sting, they corraled us all on this dirt lot and I was the first one down, only way down was a 12" curb that smooshed the oil pan, it got us home, but died shortly after.

77 Celica, white with a brown vinyl roof and a manual tranny. It had over 150k miles on the 20R when I got it and it only died a couple times throughout high school. Installed a magnaflow muffler and some old Enkei mag wheels my dad gave me. Sold it for a 91 Sentra.

Well....if that's what you want it to mean....then ok.* *In English, as in many other languages, there are expressions whose individual words do not express what the entire phrase means as a whole, and these expressions/phrases are called idioms. I suspect that you are yankin' mah chain, yup ah do. Well kick mah shin and call me hoppy!* Also, I think that silvery_eagle might have erred slightly when using the word 'intent' instead of the word 'intend'. Perhaps the phrase could have been better expressed by using the past perfect tense instead of the the present. ( damn, I am so full of shit today! Only five more days of school(work) and I am off :uglystupid2: for the entire summer! Hot damn!). Be grateful that you only have to put up with me being a dip shit occassionally, while my wife has to put up with me most of the time. Does being an old fart give me any special priveliges?* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Bill :2funny:

I started with a 1G that went through 2 trannies and 1 motor. Also had a primered EF hatch during the B-swap craze. Moved on to a 2G that crank walked. 2003 Sentra Spec V that spent just as much time at the dealer as it did on the road because they sucked just as bad as the 2002 model.
