Is it possible to defeat the rev limiter...aka whatever is preventing the car from being launched
at full rpm. Is there a real issue with driveline component failure?

i believe some one did a write up on how to get rid off the rev limiter when launching the car, but be aware that you will eventually with time can cost drive-train failure ...

i believe there is something under the dash for you to unplug to defeat the ecu-induced 5000 rpm rev limiter. if you want to rev past redline, you need software control (probably EMS or flash).

Oh no, I meant it takes off nicely, no wheel hop.* I usually ride the clutch just a bit.

launching is all about wearing your clutch the right amount. you don't always have to break the trannies and diffs. if you mess up, well then you might do just that.

the rev limiter is easiliy removed by a fuse... at least i think. the actual process you'll have to search on.

to remove your rev limiter, all you have to do is look under your steering wheel. when you find all the fuses you have to remove one of them. i dont have a picture right now to show you which one it is exactly.

lol... Now in days, ecu flashing is common enough that anyone with a laptop and tactrix cable can adjust your 2-stage rev limit...
