So my buddy has an 02 tacoma and with 76k miles. His cat went out according to toyota. They said it wont be covered under warranty. Isnt the law 8 years/ 80k?

i dont think it's an issue of the law...that might reflect the warranty...not sure though. never heard of a cat suddenly going bad...

seems common in his model year at that mileage. the dealer denied him service but were coming to find out that 80k is the law in cali

same thing happened to my 02 tundra with 55k miles on it, and they wouldnt cover it under waranty, but the cat has a manufactorers waranty, and the dealer just charged me for labor
