"SPRING MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS RANCH ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF CLUB SPRING MOUNTAIN…A PRIVATE MOTORSPORTS CLUB

Nevada-based firm creates an elite Private Motorsports Country Club for members only.

(Pahrump, NV – April 22, 2006) – Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch today announced the opening of Club Spring Mountain…a Private Motorsports Club located at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch facility in Pahrump, Nevada, just 45 minutes west of the Las Vegas strip on Highway 160. The Nevada-based Motorsports Ranch is also home of Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School, an acclaimed Corvette Advanced Driving School at the facility.

Club Spring Mountain was created to provide Motorsports enthusiasts from across the country the opportunity to enjoy a private track experience at their own pace and on their own schedule. As a member of this very exclusive Club, members can drive on the track any time they wish on designated Member Days (an average of 20 days per month.)

Club Spring Mountain offers several categories of Club Memberships, including Corporate Memberships, Charter Memberships and Classic Memberships, with varying degrees of financial commitment. Affiliate partnerships with Car Clubs and Event companies are also offered. Members pay a one-time Initiation fee, which will fund the construction of high-end member facilities, along with monthly dues and daily use fees. In return, club members and their invited guests are guaranteed exclusive track time at the Motorsports Ranch for at least 20 days per month, along with invitations to special events for members only.

John Morris, co-founder of Club Spring Mountain, comments on his newest venture. “Imagine your own private race track where you can practice your skills, play with your friends, and entertain business associates. We created Club Spring Mountain with that vision in mind. I have found that life is ‘all about the experience.’ Now our friends and fellow motorsports enthusiasts can experience driving on a challenging racetrack as a member of their own private club with their contemporaries who are also passionate about the sport. Many of our members have multiple exotic cars and an abundance of free time. With Club Spring Mountain they can experience the fun and excitement of the sport, with the added convenience and exclusivity of a private motorsports club.”

The advantages to becoming a member of Club Spring Mountain are numerous. Club members can choose from any or all of the designated member days to drive on the exhilarating Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch track without signing up for specific track days with event companies. Members can invite guests to ride along in their cars, or to bring their own car to drive on the track, based on their membership category. Private instruction with professional drivers is available for members along with special discounts for high-performance exotic car rentals, such as Corvette Z06’s, Radical Race cars, and Aerial Atoms. Members can drive a challenging and fun-to-drive race track on their own schedule, with other like-minded people who appreciate the private Motorsports club experience.

The Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch racetrack consists of various configurations within a 3.5-mile road course. The “original” north/south road course is 2.2 miles in length and features elevation changes totaling approximately 50 feet. It consists of ten corners, one of which is an exact duplicate of the hairpin at Mosport (corners 5A and 5B), known as Moss corner. The newest section of our Motorsports ranch, now known as the West Track - or Radical Loop - is 1.5 miles in length and includes two banked corners, one dramatic blind drop, and one technical off-camber corner, along with a screaming fast straight, serving as an adrenaline packed experience for the members’ driving excitement. The track was designed to keep the car in constant transition, which provides the members with full feedback. Consequently the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch track is both a challenge and a pleasure to drive.

Future developments to the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch for Club members, already in the planning stages, include a luxurious clubhouse with viewing stations for invited guests, a closed circuit track-to-driver communications center, a 45-foot high wilderness tower, 100 rentable garages adjacent to the administration building, condominiums, an industrial park and more. Club members will receive priority on reserving any of the new facilities as part of the benefits of their membership, with construction expected to begin on some of the improvements later this year.

The official opening date of Club Spring Mountain is May 3, 2006. On specific weekends during the month of May, potential members have been invited to the Nevada facility to experience driving on the Spring Mountain track and learn more about the advantages of Club membership.

ABOUT CLUB SPRING MOUNTAIN

Club Spring Mountain is the only private Motorsports Country Club of its kind in the southwest. Located at the highly acclaimed Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, this purpose-built road course was designed to give members guaranteed track time so they can visit the track on their own schedule. On any of our designated Club Member days (an average of 20 days per month,) members are free to practice their skills on the track or entertain their business clients with a one-of-a-kind track experience.

The Nevada-based firm, headed by John Morris and Brad Rambo, two motorsports enthusiasts from California who have founded successful businesses in other industries (www.AdvancedAccess.com and www.IndependentTradingCo.com), has just launched its latest venture in April, 2006. Morris and Rambo originally purchased the 193-acre Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch facility in 2004, and since the change of ownership, the partners have expanded the racetrack, developed and built a 5000 square-foot administration building, and have tripled the revenues of the Advanced Driving School and track rental operations.

CLUB SPRING MOUNTAIN is an independently owned and operated Nevada LLC, privately funded and headquartered in Pahrump, Nevada.

I kinda choke on the initiation fee, but maybe the biggest problem for me is that it is nearly 300 miles from my home. I can only go there for 2-day or longer events, the commute just isn't worth it for a 1-day event.

Most of the track days at the SoCal tracks cost $160 or less, so $4,500 would buy you about 30 track days. The $120 per month is a little less than one track day per month. So lets say I amortize the initiation fee over 3 years. That's 10 track days per year for three years, plus another 10 track days per year for the monthly fee. In addition, they charge you $60 use fee per track day.

So I look at it this way. It's a good deal only if you want to run at least 25 track days at Spring Mountain per year. I will run at least 25 track days in the coming year, probably more, but I don't want to run them all at Pahrump.

I guess I just talked myself out of it. Interesting idea though.

Is there a staffed ambulance on site at all times? Is there a trauma specialist doctor on the full time track staff? What is the transport time to the closest hospital? Or the transport time to the best hospital? Who are the flag/corner workers? Are they nationally licensed and trained like our SCCA workers are? Are they in an area of restricted airspace, or is a life flight helicopter possible?

The answers to these questions will make the one time fee really cheap or expensive.

John -

Nice to hear from you.* How are things at Sears Point?* Just a little reminder that I will be at the shop Monday afternoon 5/1 for a little tuning assistance.* At this point, current plan for next track day is Big Willow Wed. 5/3.* Also, I have an opportunity to go to 2 private track days at Pahrump with 7 drivers and 2 instructors, one of which is Craig Stanton, 2005 Rolex Grand Am GT champion driving a Porsche.* The event is May 16 & 17 and I will gladly blow off May 3 to be ready for it.* It is expensive but probably worth it.* So I look to you and your excellent team at RRC make sure the RS is ready.

Its a great track but this club sounds more like a corporate yahoo, country club, thing than a drivers club. Thats the impression I get when reading the advertisment.
