Something has to be wrong, or really crappy gearing. a .02 second change from an almost 100hp increase is really bad.

The Turbo will have better acceleration. The N/A does 6.8. The turbo is still untested. I'm actually going to laugh my ass off when a Saturn puts up numbers that smashes an S2000 & other "performance" cars.

I think the solstice looks pretty damned good, its a shame it was underpowered and a bit heavy. Also suffers from the "Big button" interior and typical quality issues of american cars. However I am pretty excited by it, and hope that more American cars can start looking like that. That Ecotec/Turbo combo might be pretty damned good as well. Taking on an S2000 at the track. Doubt it. S2000 weighs less and has a more aggressive suspension. American car builders assume everyone has a huge fat ass and likes buttons and knobs as big as their hands practically. I think with exception to the corvette there isn't one car thats American that gets a title of "great handling"...

The uglier pontiac version with the 260hp motor was still slower than dog ass. Probably a heavy car. Looks cool though. Too bad it isn't miata-ish with the weight.

The Sky is going to be pretty sick. Like Terry said, I won't be surprised at all if it beats out the S2K and other roadsters.

The Saturn Sky is based on the Opel roadster. It looks sick because it is an Opel with saturn badges. The performance should be pretty good, but no where near the evo....but what is?

So the Saturn is not the same as the Pontiac roadster?

Very similar, but they made some differences. & the saturn costs more.

I took a look on the pontiac site and that one is supposed to do 0-60 in "less than 5.4 secs."

That actually sounds good considering there is tuning potential.

There is not a chance in hell that I'd take a Saturn ANYTHING over an S2000 for so many reasons. As for performance, 0-60 is the narrowest measure of a car... On a positive note, it is good that Saturn will finally have a desirable product. I do like to see car makers succeed, if only to provide variety in the marketplace.

I seen one today on a trailer of GM/Saturn cars...looks ok...another "cute chick" car......

Maybe it handles great. But I would still think that the overall quality of the vehicle would be low due to it coming from GM.

Speaking of chick cars - I really want an SLK55 (+supercharger). I think that would be a really fun car... if you could turn the traction control off... even then, maybe just in a straight line... but still cool!
