Wow that pop-up is pretty consistent! hey is there a way it could only pop-up once you "first" enter the forums instead of every page that you open??? I know it pays bills but its getting pretty annoying.

I just got it. It wasn't a pop-up...more like a re-direct for me since I have a pop-up blocker.

this message is to the admins...
please seriously consider removing any spyware that comes with the site...
for some reason the site is loading up extremely slow for me (i dont see any ads or pop ups coz my spybot search n destroy is doing its job blocking those stuff...

i think this one below is one of them

http://3.adbrite.com/mb/banner.php?sid=45744&html....

There's only one ad on the site that would be considered intrusive. The FlyCell ad only comes up once per day per user. Once you see it once, you wont see it again for 24 hours according to AdBrite. It pays better than any ad and isn' frequent at all. It helps us pay the bills here with so much bandwidth we use up via the gallery and forum activity. We will be adding an additional server next to speed up the site. I apologize if the ad is an inconvenience to any of you. We are testing it right now to see if it's something we can work with.

I get it way more than once every 24 hours. Maybe 3 times an hour.

I hope none of the EVO vendors use that kind of advertising. I keep a list of every vendor that does that and make sure I never buy anything from them, ever...

Pretty long list too :p

hmm, i will investigate why it's showing up so frequent for you...

I know it costs a lot of money for the bandwidth for the site. Perhaps I can help out since I have a farm of high-bandwidth servers available if it comes to that. Personally if I have to look at ads, I'd rather they be from EVO vendors that are actually good to the community.

I got it 3 times already- 2 times last night and this morning.* This is really obnoxious because it takes over the whole browser.* Please get the site top dollar at least. Let the whoring begin, lol...

What sucks for me is that the Fly-Cell pop up triggers a "restricted access" firewall total block of the internet at work. I have to back out and restart IE. Very annoying.

I get it frequently as well now.
It's pretty annoying IMHO.

If it were a pop-up, I could close it.
But in FireFox, it works like a redirect and takes up the entire page.

Why can't they just advertise in a banner like everyone else?

Ha, I finally saw the ad. It's not a pop-up but a redirect like someone mentioned.

Rob-

Explore a switch to selling it as a pop-under its less intrusivel and frequently those can be sold at a marginally higer rate than a pop-up style add due to back-end conversion rates.

Actually I've removed that option because I too find the ad kind of annoying... so you won't see anymore of those types of ads.

thatnks much... coz of that ad the load up time for each page from my house computer is literally 43seconds.. that's too much...
now it's back to normal again :)

pop that you only see once should not effect the load time of each page you may have other issues
