I went to the dealer today to pick up a fuel filter for my VIII and after the parts guy spent a couple mins looking for it, he said that evos don't have a serviceable fuel filter. Just the sock on the pump in the tank. Now Idk about evos, but every other car that I know of has a fuel filter...

Is this true?? Or was he just unable to find it and he fed my some bs?

to my knowledge there is a fuel filter on the evo. people were talkin' about it and running e100, how it would get clogged if you ran the e100 cuz the ethanol breaks up all the deposits in the fuel tank.

At least it will be a lot easier to change than on the 2G Eclipse!

:tickedoff:
I still curse and cringe at the mere mention of a 2g fuel filter. AGGHHH! Please don't bring up that nightmare again.

It's just a "snapshot" from a manual.

FYI not the evo fuel pump assembly. That is the assembly on the other side of the fuel tank (without the fuel pump). But yes, that is where the "filter" is.

rino, I purchased my evo service manual PDFs from ebay for like 4 bucks plus shipping, well worth the investment
