I got a ticket for illegal mods

I got pulled over for having paper plates and an exhaust.The cop told me to pop my hood and then he wrote me a ticket for illegal mods.Im going back to stock and selling the parts and car.I guess i will have some illegal!!parts for sale soon

Paper plates are the dealership logo plates.
You can't run these after you've been issued a regular lic.

cops dont like us...it's not a reason for you to sell everything. *once you get your plates put them on then they'll need a better reason to pull you over.

thats not the only reason im selling,and a cop can pull you over if he suspects you have illegal mods, like if you have exhaust or extra gauges thats a reason to think you could have more stuuf done.

so i was wondering, an aftermarket intercooler is illegal right? because its after the intake and before the cat, so it needs a CARB number, which im guessing it doesnt have one (maybe greddy does). but logic would ask, 'what pollution is created by having a bigger intercooler?'. naturally the intercooler being larger could increase pollution by lowering intake temps allowing a more aggressive tune, but in that case it is most likely something else that is way more CARB illegal than the intercooler

make sure you get the carb stickers and put them right on the top. cop will see it and he probably wont like it...but he cant do anything since it's carb legal.

The cop has to have justification to send you to the referee i.e. intake, aftermarket fuel rails,etc... He can`t send you just because he feels like it. Just my .02 cents based on my experience.

B. adjustable BOV's.
C. cone air filter that can be seen( you know son, that air intake is illegal).


Also, if you have a turbo kit you must have a custom quiet exhaust! it's a police siren magnet.

lastly never put a frickin test pipe on your car and drive on the street, you are asking to get your ride impounded!

Trial by DECLARATION....thats all i have to tell you. I wouldnt sell my parts and go back to stock over a stupid ticket you CAN win if u do a TBD. I got away with my speeding ticket that way

i didnt get away from my stop sign ticket that way. i had a long ass, fully detailed declaration...accompanied with various photos and diagram. when i lost that way...i appealed it and the cop showed up in court. i was able to shut his ass up...but then he gave some BS answer..."well, these werent taken on the night of the violation...and i dont know if the car i seven behind the wall or not because i cant see it"...the picture showed a view from a position closer to the stop sign than he actually was and my car was parked behind the white limit line. anyways...i lost it in court.
