The homelink I have is built into the driver's side visor in my Audi. Is this what you are referring to? If so, it's crap - I can't get it to hold my transmitter code. I just use the f'in clicker the apt gave me...

Why not just get the proper remote. This is my business.
Here's a link that tells you how to figure out what remote you need.
http://www.bearcatco.com/about_remote_controls.html

You can get home link rearview mirrors but they expensive.
Not worth it IMO.

i have a remote.* i dont want to attatch it to my sunvisor because it seems like it will leave a permanent indent in it if i keep it on there long enough.* i have nt garage transmitter in the little area under the A/C controls.

the homelink transmitter would be more convenient. especially because i might be linking more than one

$30.00 to $35.00 depending on which one you need.
Plus you would need to program it.

Is there a SoCalEvo discount on one of those? :police: ^-^

I dont put it on my visor for the same reason...I hate that little indentation it leaves. I just have mine in the sunglass holder...

I'm in the process of installing the HomeLink (http://www.homelink.com/about/homelink.tml) system now. I have the mirror (http://www.aaaremotes.com/aurevimiwiho.html) in my car, the Wayne-Dalton garage door opener and I'm in the process of having electric gates installed that will also be integrated into the HomeLink system.

Those rear view mirror homelink devices are cool.
