Man i was just looking at pics of the EvoX again.... sheesh i think that thing is ugly :tickedoff: what are they thinking.... I wonder how many of you all feel the same way. Do most of us think this car is ugly or are we liking it? Still I dont mind the fact that i think its ugly as hell... just makes my car look so much better

Overall, I like it...

Be interested to see the final result.

I think I need to see it in person first before I make a final decision, but right now I am not the biggest fan of the new X, maybe my opinions will change later but I doubt it.

i dont like the tail lights of what's on the "evo X" as of now. but that may very well change. i think a lot of non-current EVO drivers are attracted to it.

I don't think the EVO X looks good at all.

it's F-UGLY! it looks rather TSXish :idiot2:

I think it's pretty nasty as well. I don't like the fact that there is no visible FMIC. I think it's one of those designs we need to get used to. I'm sure when we see them rolling around on the streets dropped on some coilovers with some bronze CE28's our opinions will quickly change.

i dont really like it. i'm glad that i have a XI. haha

but maybe i'll like it later.
...just needs some getting used to.

i used to hate the new bmw 3 series'....but now they're pretty nice.

Only one word to describe the X...

i actually like it....

i think the trunk-spoiler proportions are a little off. i think either the trunklid should sit a little lower or the spoiler up a little higher, then itd look proportionally correct.

but overall, its g00d...

I think it'll grow on us. Even though I love the way my car looks now.... I remember my initial impression when I saw an evo 8... Looks like a fixed up lancer with a big ass wing. Not to mention the fact that it was a 4 door sedan. My initial impression of the new 3 series was also whatevers, but i've gotten to like it more and more. Besides no one really buys an evo cause of the way it looks imo.

Yeah when the Evo 8 came out here i didnt like it at all. Being born in the UK and being able to see the way it was supposed to look (in my eyes). Then it came here with the chrome lights and bubly bumpers.....
mmm mmm now i love em' all

I think the Evo X is hot... it's a logical step for the next platform. If you look at previous Evo generations, the jump from Evo I-III to Evo IV-VI to Evo VII-IX have all been significant, yet each generation has its own appeal. I think the X will be a true icon with a greater audience...

It might be my next car, but I am going to wait until after the first model year for a lot of reasons. Pray that Mitsu comes out with something similar to DSG for it. :rally:

I agree that Mitsu will try to appeal X to a greater audience...
But that usually translate to something less focused... I'm not sure thats a good thing.

Not necessarily - A Porsche 911, Ferrari F430, Lambo Gallardo, etc. all appeal to a wide audience and they aren't "a bad thing". I think more people will open their eyes to what an Evo is and what it does with a more accessible model. I don't imagine (due to it's niche and cost) that they will be common like Mustangs. In the same vein as the Evo X, I think the new GT-R will also fit this idea and not just be some JDM fantasy ride.

just look at the 06 sti, and then the evox... not too bad looking at all hahaha. actually i think it looks pretty good, very aggressive with mean curves. the only concern is its power output, i doubt mitsubishi will have a slower evolution than its predecessors.. sure its heavier but mitsu has always been known to underestimate hp, so u guys think 300 will be to the wheels?

DJ_STEPH

300to the wheels??? i doubt it..

what would be nice, is to have the upscale version ...competing with the m3 crowd. (gsr)

then have a stripped down version for the niche crowd. (rs)
