Hey! Terry, yeah, it was pretty cool, the numbers dropped but that's better than having to flash multiple cars on same night, i was just datalogging and flashing Frank's evo9, noticed evo9 runs PIG PIG rich espcially at the top, but everything's fixed, timing advancing perfectly, A/F leaner but VERY conservative, no knock. but modifications wise, that he has on the car, it's still considered pretty much stock, lol.

We did a quick sprint through canyons :angel: to my house because my laptop ran out of battery and forgot the damn charger at home.

I'm showing up recently to all meets, since my work place moved to Long Beach, and I now have to go through fullerton literally.

yeah, jesse had clutch slipping on the last datalog run we did. We were only hitting about 1.0 ~ 1.2 bar , so he adjusted the dejon tool (he\'s mbc) , and as soon as we did a pull it hit around 1.4bar, but after around 4000rpm, it just slipped, his RPM just shot up. I added the 2step on his car set to 4500rpm, but i guess he\'ll have to play with that when he gets new clutch. I think he still had stock, if i remember... but not sure

as for Frank, i re-richend his map up top for safty measures, because i was upping the boost, wanted to play it safe, he just took off home after the initial flash, so no chance it was datalogged. I\'m going to log it tonight or tomorrow. (GET A DAMN BOOST GAUGE!!!!).

well let me start out saying... do not mount anything that has to do with harness straps only to the bottom of the floor... it is not safe... the only way i will let ghost_evo or anyone i know do a harness setup is with the bar.. because if you mount them to the floor and then say your car rolls (heaven -forbid) you will have a new set of ribs.. because a set of harness that are mounted to the floor only will push your ribs into you.. more money but harness + harness bar are the only way to go.. trust me.. i have read everything on them... oh and I am John...Nubie Clutch.... actually if you want to get technicall a roll cage is the way to go there are still safety issues with the harness bar and where it is positioned... i remember hearing awhile back when it came out that it is positioned to smash your skull from behind in the right accident.

For the harness that bolt to the floor you aren't suppose to drill holes, i think there is a way to actually use the pre drilled holes from the seatbelts.

around may, after getting my new shiney sbc Icolor boost controller, i noticed fluctuation of my boost few weeks after running it, i thought i messed with the gain setting or limiter to have it go haywire.Â* I soon found out what "felt" pretty stable, but very slight fluctuation, according to my 2 boost gauges.....Â* Â*but weird thing was i was forced to run higher manual settings as time passes, near maxing it out to get even 19 psi.

It's all good, I'm happy with car, go closed course racing near euclid/bastanchury/all over fullerton.Â* Â*

I've check everything, limit is set to off.Â* The boost just keeps bouncing, I've even reinstalled the boost controller, i had the "IN" side connected on the BOVÂ* line by the intake manifold, but after few pulls i just tried the turbo nipple, just like the manual said.Â*

boost at the end ,ends up at about 15 psi at around 6500 rpm. during the fluctuation, the boost goes from 19 psi to 14 psi within 1 sec, and goes 18 psi than 15 psi tha 17 psi than 16 psi, and so on, every second. from when it's fully spooled around 3500rpm till 6500 rpm...

I tried both stock ecu settings and flashed ecu settings, same.

that was at 10 gain, but it's all the same, all the way down to 3 gain, i didn't go lower because i'm pretty sure it'd be the same.... it's different outcome.. like 7 gain would be less fluctuating, than 6 & 5 gain would be alot of fluctuation, than 4 gain is less, than 3 is more.

HOLY SHit this feels good, I had 6 gallons of 100octane that i put in last night, ran a test boost at 19 psi, boosted, and just HELD there, it felt good.Â* i bumped the boost to my usual boost (24psi), holy shit, it's like someone tacked my boost needle to 1.7bar and just left it there. LOL, all the way to 8000rpm.Â*

Love it.Â* No more playing with the 2 stage boost settings, where i forced to higher boost when it hit around 5k rpm to keep it from falling off.Â* ready for next dynoÂ* O0Â* it felt so good,Â* imagine how i used to take off x 2 ,Â* it was pulling though 5 gears with out any type or surge or taper. same consistant feel from 3000 ~3500 rpm, but this time 3000~ 8000rpm.Â* :laugh:

OMG, i came back, blew $3000 in vegas! My friend and i spent over 5k in a FREAKING strip club.... went to olympic garden strip club in vegas. 11pm- 12am we were just at a table, getting lap dances... than, went into vip room, which we were told it was 600$ / 30 min... time flew by... we stayed in there till 12am ~ 4am. i'm so fuk'in pissed right now. BUT overall had good time... very interesting night.

haha. hm...still looking for one. i like the RSR exMag ($650) because it's stealty looks (but it tapers a little). i hear that the top fuel ($475) is quieter than the HKS hi power. and the tanabe concept g blue TBE is tempting because it's a full TBE (Downpipe, Test Pipe, Catback, and Silencer included...but i want a high flow cat instead of testpipes...i dont want too much cop trouble) for $760.

any suggestions?

are you paticular on looks? Â*do you want an oval type exhaust or are you ok with the n1 style. Â*i know mike at road race has one of the apex noir exhaust in stock. Â*the resonator is restrictive but i saw something about them being able to change the resonator to a 3 in to make it free flowing. Â*check out their vendor section. Â*for me an exhaust is an exhaust they're all the same for the most part. Â*it just needs to be as straight as possible. Â*i like mine because it has a resonator so its a little quieter then most titanium exhausts. Â*i dont think that chris' has an exhaust and that is why it's so loud. Â*i just talked to my buddy and he said that the rsr exhaust would be hard for him to get a hold of. Â*the tanabe would be good for the price just buy an hfc and sell the test pipe. Â*my buddy is also working on building a hfc for evos. Â*john is suppose to test it on his car so i'll keep you informed.

The silver section, on the cap side is used to adjust spring tension.Â* Un tighten all the way and do 360 x 2.5 , and i use that setting, the one after that , where there's a small pipe coming out goes to your intake manifold.Â* and the lower side (looks like a volume adjustment if u look close there's picture of like volume slider type of deal), is to open or close bov, so more open to air = louder.

Basically there's 3 sections of rotation, top (silver cap), middle (small pipe to intake mani) and bottom (VTA adjustment).

the 3 sections may not rotate independently when it's new or not been used.Â* They tend to rotate speratly after it heats up couple times.Â* so it's normal to have 3 sections all rotate independently or just as a whole peice, it'll all able to rotate in time.

475 is a good deal for any exhaust especially with a free install. Â*as usual there are no pics of how it actually looks. Â*i am curious to how the piping looks. Â*let me know what you decide on that exhaust, find out if its resonated or not because if its not it will probably be loud like everyone elses'.

Also, why don't u get the same exhaust as mine? it looks stock, and very light. I ran it very hard few times on the way to vegas and at vegas, and no more exhaust gasket ripping out.
