I guess they are tight. The stock EVO 9 BOV.

yes what is wrong with it? i also assume its a boost leak? you can contact local members to help you out as well. i think road race is the closest to you, theyre in santa fe springs.

you can secure all the clamps and hose you want, but if its a leak, it wont be visible. sometimes you get lucky and fix it blindly. the best way is to do a boost leak test so you can hear where the leak(s) are. tends to happen more in teh summer since heat expand metal.

your bov isnt the problem as well. stock evo 9 is the good metal one, holds boost really well.

can you describe the symptoms more? ie when is the boost drop? can u hear any noise? etc.

install what, the boost gauge? if it goes from vacuum to boost or bar and is at the stock boost level..then yes it is correct.
if you werent sured in the first place, you shouldve had a member(s) helped out from the get go imo.

the way you word your thread as having "boost problem" suggests that you have a boost leak or something that makes the car leaking boost...

i couldnt hear any air leak when the car is idle. Not the gauge is the MBC. I wish i could have someone to help me check is the MBC installed correctly. And why it couldnt hold at the 21 PSI. THanks !

Yea, the install was probably done wrong if the boost goes way down to 12 pounds. Well I guess Road Race is nearest to u, so take it there.

dint mean to say that it was the bov he just stated in the bginning that hr had a bost leak so the first thing that came to mind is an aftermarket bov... *

just make sure you installed everything correctly.. what ind of mbc do you have?...

hey, do you still have the stock air inbox? if so, do you still have the 2 self tap screws for the intake funnel? if you dont, you need it.
the reason im saying this is because that happened to me, when i would boost find and at 6k rpm, i would drop boost to 15psi.

and yes, go to RRE to have them check on it. and are you sure youre not letting go of the gas? lol...one of the local members think he had a boost leak but in reality he was letting go of the gas and not slamming it down.

The intake snorkel thingy can come loose and suck itself to the hood at full boost. Actually a pretty common problem.

You need at least one fastener to hold the snorkel down.

You probably missed the little plastic bleeder valve on the hose to the wastegate. Well glad to hear you got it all working.
