Not sure I can swing 2 weekends in a row, with Nasa on the 5th-6th and Speedtrial at Buttonwillow the following weekend. SInce you get quite a bit more track time with Speedtrial I'll be hitting that one for sure.

Yeah, I was going to try to stay away from the heat, but my addiction has taken control.* 8)

It was a good time. It was nice to meet you guys too.

Thankfully, you guys missed the first session on Sunday, as it was a nightmare - 3 spins, 1 roll, lots of debris. They blackflagged the whole track. Luckily, no one was hurt.

What kind of lap times were you guys running at Big Willow last weekend?

The fastest lap I ran was 1:36, but mostly ran 1:37-39. It was pretty slippery mid-day.

By the way, I am now able to run with the big boys, I was signed off to HPDE 4.

Congrats. 1:36 is a good time at Big Willow

You'll get lower, just keep that foot away from the brake pedal. ;)

My personal best at Big Willow is 1:37.3 and it took a lot of practice to get there. Hoping to get in the 1:35 - 1:36 range next time, which is Sept. 9 & 10 with Open Track Racing. www.opentrackracing.com

Awesome, I'll be there too. I am going to do a full exhaust, filter, injectors, cam, and flash. With the added power down the straights, I am hoping to get low 30s. It's a sickness, I know.

See you there, I know Denon will be there. O0

Richard, are you going both days?

Trinydex, will you be able to make it?

Richard EVO
08-07-2006, 01:23 PM
I will be there both days - Sept. 9 & 10. Kailo of Open Track Racing runs great events. There will be lots of track time, and even a wheel to wheel race on Sunday that you can enter even if your car is not fully race-prepped. Looking forward to that. 8)

No it's not . . . The event is less than 5 weeks away.

Seriously, I have already planned events for the next 4 months. I hope you can make it.

i'm thinkin' two weeks before is a good time to decide, you never know about weather and whether your car is up for it haha

I almost never pay for events until the last minute, at least in summer when it could be really hot, or in winter when it might rain. That's different than "planning" events. I have the rest of this year pretty much planned out for track days. How many I really attend will depend on the weather, and the "whethers" (whether I can get the time off work, whether I can switch kid weekends with my ex, whether I really can afford another track weekend, etc.).

yeah, i kinda wanted my next event to be at streets. are you guys attending any of those soon?

Richard EVO
08-07-2006, 04:36 PM
Yes - I'll be at Streets of Willow this weekend, Aug. 12 & 13 with TEAM Racing. The event is very short on sign-ups, so you will get all the track time you want. It's $150 for one day, or $275 for both days. You can either sign-up in advance http://www.onemain.com/~bonster/schedule.html and pay by PayPal, or just show up at the track on Sat. and/or Sun. morning with cash. I'd try to be there by 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. Walk-up is fine for this event. Come on out!!!

Probably not until December 9/10 through SV. I would love to run streets this month, but can't get free.

Have fun at streets next weekend.Â* O0
