I have the stock rom loaded right now with no changes to the injector scaling, set at 513.? I have the Greddy/Denso 720s from RRE.? Any ways when I look at my STFT it is at +24%.? It should be somewhere in the negatives.? It just doesnt make any sense.? All my mods are listed in the sig.? Thank you.

This is with the AFC zeroed out across the board.

Hey Bro this should give you a comparison at what the differences are

Is the +24STFT at idle or all RPM points?

The +24 is at idle. I talked to some people and they said to raise the voltage for the latency and that should fix it. I have a ROM I need to upload to the car and see what it does.

I have read all the posts on Evom and have been trying to size my injectors. I have tried different sizes and different latencies and the car just does not react right.

I can get the idle and cruise trims set within +10/-10for the fuel trims. When I let off the gas the car stalls sometimes. It will stall out everytime I let off the gas if the A/C is on.

I have checked for boost leaks to make sure that I dont have an underlying problem causing this.

Could some one please tell me what they used for their injector size and the voltage latency for their 720\'s

+/-10 is not that far off. If this is still with the AFC zeroed out, try adding 8% at 1k low throttle. I have yet to try ecuflash, but using it to get things close and then fine tuning with the AFC sounds good to me.

he said ECUFLASH. O0

Since you have ecuflash you should really scale the injectors properly.

Yeah the AFC for the main fuel control and a flash for some minor stuff seems to really rock.

The solution to getting the trims right is to first get the injector voltage compensation right, then the injector size compensation, then adjust the MAF Scaling table to compensate for any aftermarket intake or other weirdness in the airflow, and then finally tweak the main fuel tables.

The real trick is figure out a solution to convert to speed density and ditch the MAF. That is the big limitation of using the ECU, and why it isn't as good as a proper standalone. Of course this is much more important for a race car than a street car, since you will lose a race if a pipe blows off with the MAF setup. That will also solve non-linearities inherent in the stock MAF setup caused by open intakes and upgraded intake manifolds.

Setting the injector scaling to 636 and doubling the latency for the injectors seems to work for the denso 720's.

Can't take credit for this little info nugget, someone on EVOM posted it, so I thought it would only be fair to share with you guys.

Yeah that was me on EvoM. I had to use a different screen name since Evomaniac was already taken. Those settinhs are close, but still not good enough. I was at sea this week so I didnt get any time to work on the car. I am trying to get some time this weekend to make some more adjustments. I will post how it turns out. Time is the problem I have right now I am getting married in a month and work has been a little hectic lately.

rescale the injector scaling and then relog the stfts and ltfts...if its off still recal the injector battery latency voltages accordingly...i have the greddy/denso 720's on my IX...works perefectly fine at idle and cruising...

ftr - i used 636 w/ 1.85X injector scaling...

as a note, greddy is the same as denso.

I sold these injectors and went with the PTE780's.

you sold your Denso for some PTE ??? :-o :?

Was gonna go with a bigger turbo. Thats on hold for a while now since I just got married.

dude 720cc is pretty freakking good. 780cc ain't that mucy better. 1000cc should of been the upgrade.

It was going to be a 20g, but after all the posts I read about it I dont know now. Maybe just go for a IX turbo.

In that case, 660 cc Denso or 720cc Denso would have fit the bill perfectly.

660cc and 720cc are more than enough for the 20g can handle, even good enough for gt30R. 20G ain't a real upgrade. you will make more power with the IX turbo bro.

Thanks I was going to get the 20g til I read a long ass thread you were talking about the 20g. So I decided to go with the IX instead.

haha, yeah it's a piece of shit turbo. I have dyno my 04 evo 16g with 10.5 hotside against a well built and tune by XS engineering evo MR. I beat it and i was on 91 pump gas and he was on mix gas. Don't even take my wordS for IT, ask the pro like Tuning Technologies about the 20G. If you search or look, you will see the same people who said their 20G is great and make power, well it's the same people who are selling it right now. I don't know about you, but if i spent close to a grand and get beat by a stock turbo, i would be piss off. ;)
