Hey you come on here as fresh meat and start off with attitude...why dont you relax.. a lil guy...everyone here is laid back... and there is nothing to shoot for... its all driver dependant.. John Mueller and Ricardon can probably do it faster than most people on a modded suspension ....Best thing to do is run it and just keep improving...

With a good alignment and assuming good weather conditions and mild desert temputures 1:35-1:36.

"WSIR" refers to the big track at Willow Springs.Â* The idea that a relative newbie could run 1:30 on the Big Track in a stock EVO is extremely unlikely.Â* Kent Jordan in his full race-prepped Muellerized EVO runs 1:27, and he has run 18 SCCA races in a row in NorCal.

I will assume you are talking about Streets of Willow.

I ran a 1:20 at the Streets of Willow my first day out, but that was without the bowl. My P.O.C. instructor told me as a beginner I want to work on being as smooth as possible while taking the track one turn at a time. After you get one turn down go one to the next one and just keep building on it. Have fun and respect the track....

Mark,

I would think low 40s on the big track, completely stock.

With RA1s only and bone stock 1:42 - 1:40 is a good start.

We shouldn't even be discussing laptimes at this point. Enjoy the track but learn to to be smooth, not fast. Speed will come soon enough.

Please tell me this isn't your first track day. If so, please drive carefully and don't worry about your laptimes.

It wasnt my first track day.Â* I had just got moved into NASA HPDE 3 for the first time so I was finally able to use a transponder around the track.Â* My best was a 1:44 and wanted to know what kind of times were possible with a stock EVO because all the times I have seen posted were with modified EVOs.

Fair enough. My best (but crappy) time on a mostly stock suspension (RRE stage 1) and around 300whp was 1:41. I know it's not stock, but hope it helps ;)

My best so far is 1:37.3, which was run on a stock turbo, but an otherwise heavily modified track day EVO. I would agree that 1:41 would be a good time on Big Willow for a stock EVO, assuming you don't have lots of experience running the track.
