Hi All,

RTE is back at the streets of willow on August 26 & 27!
This event will have tons of seat time and as always our driving school for drivers who want to get some extra help out on the track. We'll get you up to speed safely on a road course.

All the details can be found here: http://redlinetrackevents.com/event_streetsAug26_27.htm
You guys know the drill...

Let me know if you have any questions.
See you at the track.
Thanks,
Chris

I've rescheduled things so that I should be able to go Sunday. Are you guys still offering free transponder rentals to SoCalEvo?

See you there! O0

Chris -

What's with all the Porsche 968s on Saturday?Â* I think you must have every 968 Porsche ever sold in Calif. at the event (not very many were sold).Â* :2funny:

I guess the 968 crowd wants to try out the track.
They should be good on the track. I drove a 944 not to long ago. It was better then I thought it'd be. That car was ahead of it's time. The 968 should be much like the 944, right?

Richard, are you going to be able to make Sunday?

If my current mechanical problem is resolved by then, I will be there both days. Just don't know yet.

Sunday is wide open right now. There won't be hardly any cars out there on Sunday.
Tons of track time for everyone!

Denon will also be signing up, so that should be at least 3 evos on Sunday.

We need more EVOs. Come on out!

Great! Thanks for coming out guys.
You can very well have an "almost" all EVO track day on Sunday if you get enough out there.
There will be other cars, but I think there is only about 15 or so signed up right now. Even if I end up getting 20 - 30 cars out there on Sunday, it'll be open track most of the day.

My car is down for mechanical work for a while. Will not be running Redline SoW this weekend, SV Big Willow next weekend or OTR Big Willow the weekend after that.

Be sure to take Jeremy's driving class on Sun. Bonni didn't have a proper beginner's class, and you need one.

It was a nice event, albeit a short one for us. I corded a front tire each of the first two sessions, and let my fiancee run in the beginner group for the third (bald tires with no more spares on-hand). Nice meeting evobeaner and sean. Sorry to see that their days were cut short too. Good to see that denon was running hard as always. See you guys next event. O0

likewise barfly. brake fluid boiled. ended up running 1'33.5xx. should be in the 32's at least.
not bad for a 3700 lb evo i think :2funny:

1:33.5 at SoW on street tires on your second track day ever is very impressive. You should be proud of that. You should get some R-compound tires.

thanks alot Richard. that run should have been in the 32.8's at least, but caught a slower car before the last corner.
the r compounds are my next purchase along with motul fluid and PF front pads.
the muellerized suspension has got me hooked after the laps i rode with you.
also plan to lose some damn weight :-(

Take your time. You obviously have natural talent for this, given your laptime on your second track day, and taking into account the extra "ballast" you admit to carrying around the track. Get some good driving instruction. Then practice what you learned and have fun. Worrying about 7/10s of a second at this early stage is not worth it. Learn the right techniques and the speed will come. (Do I sound like an old geezer?)
