thats scarey to do.. I did that.. a .. different way...

now at 40mph it jumped for no reason to 120 and back down... ... and sometimes on 4th gear pulls .. it stays at 80 for 2 seconds before skyrocketting to 110....

I have no idea. I just took off the blue cap. i didnt do it the way the walkthrough showed. I just used tweezers directly on the cluster. Now it just does that from time to time. I have only seen it happen 2 times so far.

I broke one of the bulb when i'm trying to remove the gel cap, on the evo9's , the gel cap are glued onto the bulb, I accidentally used too much force and one of the bulb broke, does anyone know the part number for the replacement bulb?

Thanks

It is pretty easy but you have to be gentle. If you break a bulb like i did, you can get them from the dealer pretty cheap. Just tell them your dash light went out and what part of the dash and they can look it up...

Hi, i just did the gauge cluster. I wanted to point out that i had a really hard time pulling out the plugs (one blue, one white) from the back of the cluster. I ended up not removing them and just did the whole process with the cables still connected. This limited the amount of space i had to work with, but in the end, it worked. Also, I have an 04 GSR. There are some slight differences. The lights do not have blue gel covers, except for the odometer. they have white covers and have light gray backs (the part you twist i mean). Other than that, everything else was the same.

I found the easiest way to pull off the covers is to stretch the tip and use small scissors (i used my swiss army knife scissors) to cut a little hole. once there's a hole, it's easy to just tear it off.

I don't know if it looks brighter. i should have taken before and after pics. The only one that i can tell that really stands out is the odometer, but that's because it had a blue cover.

ok, that's all. just wanted to share.
