Come on out to the "fastest road in the West" on the weekend of Sept. 2 & 3 -- Speed Ventures has the Big Track at Willow Springs, and sign ups are very low, so you will get tons of track time.

Hope we can get a big EVO contingent for the event. See you there!!

It's $160 for one day or $260 for both days, which is a bargain. To sign up, go to www.speedventures.com O0

Wow. I wish I could get my $360 back from OTR for 9/9 and 9/10, and just run this event. Are you running OTR on 9/9 and 9/10?

Not sure yet. I'd have to switch weekends with the kids with my ex, which might not be easy. I hate to get in the middle between OpenTrackRacing and SpeedVentures, because they are two best HPDE groups out there. I wish I could run both, there's a chance I might.

It will be tough talking my fiancee into running 3 consecutive weekends, but I'll try. :uglystupid2:

Looks like I will be able to run SV and OTR over the next two weekends. Hopefully we can get plenty of Evos out there.

Sorry to hear about your car problems, Richard. I was hoping to catch you at the next event.

Richard...I just registered for Saturday 9/1. I saw Barfly on the registered list. Will you be there too? I just missed meeting you at Bonni's Sunday SOW event two weeks ago. This will be my 9th track day. 1st time at Big Willow...where I hear that the only speed limit is the SIZE OF YOUR CAJONES...and your driving skill...

My car is down for engine and gearbox repairs and will not be ready in time for Big Willow events Sept. 2, 3, 9 & 10.

Approach Turn 9 with care your first time to Big Willow.

No kidding about turn 9. Don't apex early, and if you do, keep going through the dirt and into the pit lane. Do not try muscle it back onto the track. I have done WSIR about 8x now and it seems like every weekend someone takes a beating on that turn. I have seen several rolls. It's good to have cajones on all the other turns, but turn 9 takes brains to keep your car and yourself intact.

See you there. O0
