Evo Belt Removal

My friend Josh showed me just how easy it is to remove and install the serpentine belt on the Evo. You need access to the RF wheel well. For tools, you'll just need a 1/2" drive ratchet or better yet, a breaker bar, and an allen wrench. You can see in the picture below where the breaker bar goes. It just snaps into place. Rotate the bar until the belt is loose enough to slide off the pulleys. With some tension on the bar, you can slide a small allen wrench into the gap and lock the tensioner open somewhat. This will allow you to let go of the breaker bar and mess with the belt.

From Volunteer and Cajun Power.

I know many people have been waiting for us to post this. Sorry about the delay.
Here you go...

It took some resizing but I think I can get it in here. I posted the how to followed by the manual for specs. This covers the balance shaft too.

(Moderators- If I can email you a zip that is big and you can post I would be glad to do so.)

*****NOTE - This was VERY hard to do with the engine in the car. It took two people that work on their EVOs 4-5 hours for the first and 3-4 for the second. We had air-tools, and MANY specialty tools. This is not a vice grip and tie wrap job. You have to know what you are doing. If not, pay the $200 and let someone else do it.*****
