I posted this info in response to another thread elsewhere, but it probably is better suited here aswell in the how-to section.
The following is one method and the one I used to succesfully adjust the headlights. I don't have first hand experience with any other methods like using a screw driver or torx wrench, but if there are any others out there that have experiences or other ways of succesfully adjusting the lights feel free to contribute.
Tools used.
- 1/4" drive
- 10mm socket
- drive extension (optional)
Here's the driver side with the socket drive on the adjustment nut. Turn counter-clockwise to raise.

Passenger side with the coolant overflow bottle moved over to the right. The socket drive also has a 3" extension on it to reach the nut a little easier. Again counter-clockwise to raise.

i believe its ment for HID's only, since for halogen its non adjustable. The housing its a bit different.
Thanks! Daveeyyyyyy for creating this post, since i need to adjust mine..Didnt think you can adjusted them with a 10mm socket.. I will give it a try :)

is there a way to adjust from side to side? also, is there a way to adjust fogs? when i look at my fogs dead on it looks as if one if brighter than the other, but i know it's because of the angle.

does this also apply to the HIDs that you can adjust via that wheel inside the cabin?

Thread was helpful O0........Just raised my lights today Christmas morning
Each Light (Drivers & Passengers) has 2 adjustment locations that both do the same thing
The adjusting nut raises both the high-beams & driving lights at the same time
Be careful & dont exert alot of load on the nut....My passenger side outboard adjuster strips so I moved the coolant bottle & accessed the inboard passenger adjuster.........Done!!!

This is NOT HID only. I adjusted my headlight's using the same bolts when I install an aftermarket HID kit on my IX RS.

HID owners need to have their car off or your little HID adjustment motor will not allow it to change to your new headlight level!

is there any way to lower the high beam so that it's at the driving light level while keeping the driving light level untouched?

i know im replying to an old post but anyways, im pretty sure there is another nut like the one for the low beam that you can turn.
I need to try this! Thanks Panda for bumping this up! Never woulda seen this. And I was just telling my friend I need to adjust my headlight but don't know how... haha. Hopefully it will work for me.
i think the tiny little Pinion gear looking, plastic POS looks like its stripped and wont turn! what else can i do?

joey take the motor gear that is attached to the adjustment gear on your headlight off (it has the 2 screws in it) you can adjust it really easily after that.
lemme try it again... dont really know what im doing at this point. imma probably have to take the headlights off so i can see what im doing a little better

really it didnt do anything? i got my 05 rs' lights to go from practically aiming at the ground to the point where im lighting up freeway signs like a mile away.
I need to try this on a dark street with at least 15 feet so I can see if its actually working...
