He was flying. I couldn't keep up with him. On full tread RA-1s, the best I could muster was 1:34.

Congrats, Dan! O0

1:34 is great also.

I am disappointed for my time do to my car not running and not be able to push the car more on 1 and 8,9 turns.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My camber and toe has been off for the last 2 weeks on my right front tire. I corded 2 tires at that location last week at streets and I corded 3 this weekend at WSIR. I dropped my camber from 3.5 to 3.25 but that didn't help as I am still getting temps 20 degrees F hotter on the inside tread block. Hope to get in Mueller's shop this week before the OTR event this coming weekend.

Great work, Dan! Was that you at Buttonwillow a few weeks ago in the GT3 Cup car? That thing is silly fast.

+1 re: Aaron B. -- I attend every one of SV'w events that I possibly can.

You're right about something else -- I need help to get faster. Maybe Robi could help. hhmmmm. . . .

You're missing the point. It's about the driver.

Great performance, Dan. I hope to inch my way closer to that number over the next several WSIR events. I have a lot of ground to make up. :skid:

I would have liked to, but I had to get my alignment and coilover setup squared away. It was something awful, including my toe as expected (won't go into details :tickedoff:).

Mueller and the RRC crew did their magic and I will now be able to go to the big track this weekend. The setup feels great and I can't wait to get it out there and test it. Many thanks to RRC!!!! O0

Dan, we will have to run again soon. Let me know when you organize a speedgallery event.

You mean at Streets of Willow, right? The rest of this thread is about Big Willow. It's funny how everyone runs 5 seconds faster at SoW than at the big track, no matter what their laptimes are.

Evo8supercar

1:24-8TH was at streets. Richard as you know and mention that's a different track, just because both at at willow springs doesn't mean there twins. L.O.L

So what do you think of my theory that every driver's best laptime at Streets is 5 seconds faster than at the big track? I know it works for Kent, Dan and me. How about you guys, Jason, Jacob, Elijah, and anyone else?

Barfly

I didn't run well at the recent streets event, so it's tough to tell. That's probably a good rule of thumb though.

Senshi
09-10-2006, 09:08 PM
hmm that is kinda of interesting, to me i think it might be a bigger differance maybe like 6-7 sec but then ofcourse ive done street way more times then big willow which ive only done twice and i still feel alittle nervous pushing my car to much at big willow since i dont have a cage. and that ive now see 2 evo flip on the big track.

You did well for it being your second time. We really caused some havoc that session. It was fun, despite the whining driving miss daisies.
