Hey guys I just wanted to give the 951 guys a heads up. I just got a new job as an Assistant Manager in Training at a brand new America's Tire Co in Temecula off of HWY 79. So if you guys are looking for tires hit me up and I'll do what I can to take care of you guys. It's off the 15 and drive if like you are going to Pechanga.

the following are for 235/45 17

BFG KDW (not KDW NT) 144/ea + install special order 300 Treadwear AA Traction

Yokohama Advan Sport 200/ ea + install special order

Yokohama Advan A046 250 + install special order. Retail on A046 is now 292 ea. sucks

Yokohama Advan S4 180 ea + install special order

Kumho Ecsta MX 146 ea + install special order 200 Treadwear AA Traction

BF Goodrich G force Sport 100 ea + install 340 treadwear AA Traction

Falken RT 615 255/40/17 140 each + install special order. thats all i have now on requested items

BTW just so you guys know the pricing is basicaly my employee discount on these. we dont get paid commicion or anything like that. I'm just doing this so that you guys can have a dependeable shop to go too for your tire needs since that is a pretty expensive maintanence thing. I'm still waiting to hear from Toyo on the RA1 and Proxes 4's

Hook me up with some half price Advans or KD's and I'll make the drive.

Hey, that's a cool job. I guess you won't have to worry about tires anymore.

Ultra mega cheapo is fine... Something non directional that can be mounted on either side... I'm not 100% sure yet but thanks for entertaining my questions... O0

It's going on a stock 8 enkei... It's been tough selling them individually, so I was thinking about using one for a full size spare...

A bit OT...

With those AP 4 piston calipers that KCross is selling, you can fit 15" rims on your evo O0

well there has to be someone that would make an 17" gravel tire, im not looking to get to serious into it to where im gonna wanna change my calipers.

but yea heres y i asked about the stock rims with gravel tires is because of this pic i found from rally germany 06, of an evo 8 with stock rims and gravel tires here be some pics for reference!

so what companies make good or great gravel tyres, and what r the top of the teer (IE BFG - XXXX.)

Dagul

Then your best bet would be an M+S all season tire...

M+S = Mud + Snow rated. I have the Dunlop Wintersport M3 tires. I daily drive them during ski season. As with any dedicated snow tire, they're scary driving in hot socal streets, but they do wonders in snow/dirt/mud:

pm replied i;m waiting to hear back from some vendors been real busy. Rally tires you dont want those unless you are seriously going to do it. You may experience a lot of problems just driving them on normal streets

I didn't send you a PM, but if you were talking to me (about some kuhmo's) Cool! And if you were waiting on a size, then 245/45/17's.

I'm also just all around curious on what you can get just some decent sport tires in stock sizes if you have suggestions. I was just looking at the Kuhmo's because of the "End all tire thread" in the suspension threads.

jesse how much to get curb rashes on rims fixed?

Tomasu
09-07-2006, 08:34 AM
Have you heared/seen the fairly new Kumho SPT's and if theyre any good? I know the MX's are pretty grippy, but pretty much everything else from Kumho doesnt grip at all. I was thinkin about trying these tires next in 225/50/16 on my stock wheels, unless you can suggest a grippier tire for around the same price.

Ive heared some good things about the Falken Azenis ST115's, What do you guys think about em?

I made the mistake of getting Fuzion HRI last winter due to price and they were supposed to be sporty all seasons.... never again, they were rubbish and are trashed at about 13000 miles right now....

I need a tire with a pretty stiff sidewall since im running small 16 inch rims.

Dagul
09-07-2006, 09:08 AM
I used to run st-115's on stock 17x8's on my 03... And they were pretty decent... It makes a great commuter tire coz they're really quiet. Very little transfer of road noise... As far handling goes, I never tried tracking on those, so maybe someone else can chime in...

Tomasu
09-07-2006, 10:06 AM
Ah ic...

So now im looking at Falken Azenis ST-115, Kumho SPT, Hankook Ventus R-S212, and Maybe Yokohama AVS ES100.

Theyre all going to be under $100 for 205/55/16 ( stock size) or 225/50/16 (biggest i can go on stock rim)

Only reason i kinda dont want Kumho MX on stock wheel is the tread life of it... but i may just go ahead and get it cause its still in my range and has great grip...

we dont do them we send them out to another shop. Usually dealer cost is about 50-75 bucks depending on the wheel finish

My tires (stock advans) are completely, i mean absolutely, BALD at 7200 miles. Lol you think the kumho MX wear is bad... its gonna make me happy lol.

i had the spt they were pretty good especially in wet. The SPT is more of a luxury performance like the falken 452's Quiet with good grip but not as grippy as advans. The sidewalls are a tad soft than advans but the ride comfort is increased and noise is reduced. If you are really interested let me know. I think I might have a set in 16". I'm located at the SOUTH HWY 79. It's a new store on the way to Pachanga O0
