Got a truck load of these things that need to go away. $220 each until I get the pile down to where they will fit on the shelf.

Looks feels and tastes a lot like some other famous flywheels. Just no pretty packaging. 4140 Chromoly Steel and 10.7 lbs light.

what do we improve by replacing this flywheels over s tock?

The flywheel stores energy. You get a big heavy something spinning, it likes to keep spinning. So when you let the clutch out to get going there is some momentum to help you get going and not stall the car. They need to make the flywheel heavy enough for idgets and secretaries to drive the car sucessfully. Us here being manly men and not idgets (well, mostly) can easily drive a car with a slightly lighter flywheel with no problems. If you go crazy light and get a full race weight clutch and flywheel then even car freaks like us can stall it once in a while.

How does it help? Less energy used to spin up a heavy flywheel leave more energy available to make the car go foreward. That is a good thing.
