CAMs 272s or 264?

I am thinking about getting some cams but i don't know what i should get...i was thinking abt getting the 272's or should i get the 264s? Â*Please give me advice ^^

264's if your gonna keep the stock turbo, 272's if you plan on getting a bigger turbo

well he has a 9 so you would need to get a 280 exhaust cam or wait until they make intake cams for the 9 and get both. good luck!

the 9 intake cams seems to be plenty big already, just get the biggest most bad ass exhaust cam you can.

If you're looking for an intake cams, i belive a small number of vendors do have them, but due to high costs , i believe not many people are using them. Also, you might wanna wait for the cams to be out for a few months to see how the results are.

With the 272 cams your idle might be a little more rough, and some people don't like that. A friend of my has 272 hks cams on the intake and exhaust along with a vishnu reflash. He took me for a ride in his evo and it pulls really hard compared to the stock set up.

realize this guy has a 9...and bigger cams=power. hell yeah the evo pulled harder.

if you get a (stand alone) you can get the car to idle just fine and it might do it with an ecu re-flash as well for the 280's...

depends on what company you want to use they cost should be the same for 272's and 264's from what ive seen...

Just get the 272's I have staggerd and going to be selling my 264 soon to get the 272 intake cam..... Even if you think you are going to be sticking with the stock turbo, just remember horsepower is a drug... Do it now before you change your mind later.

cant go wrong with dual 272's though .... had a stagger set up on my previous evo(264/272)... had dual 272's and now i have 272/280's both set ups are great (272s vs 272/280)

then they need to be specific about what they have, dont you think.. you saw the topic CAMS .. not CAM.. since HKS doesnt make cams specifically for the IX's at the moment.. options are limited as well.
If thats the case, i would contact RRE and get yourself a set of the cossie cams.. I happen to be there when the customer had them install.. sounds like a beast !
If you are really only considering upgrading one cam from HKS , no questions ask 280 ex cam is the way to go....
