Everybody did really well today. We all got plenty of track time. Â* I spun out about twice after testing out the progress sway bar at middle settings during the 1st session, came back down to soft setting and manage to clock a 1"30 on a IX running azenis tires, which will get greasy right at the 4 to 5 hot lap.Â*

However, we did have a really nice STI who lost control and got his car wrapped around the fense.Â* It was really bad, and I was told this is the 1st time it happen with redline which someone loses it on the front straight and crash into the fense, If the fense was not there, he will be in the barrier which is will be the ultimate disaster.Â* GOOD JOB EVERYONE!

Thanks Redline staff for a great event!!

poor little bastard, i saw something in the road i was like "what the hell is that" right after the chicane, and hen it started flying - i didnt think i hit it though but apparently the evo was hungry!

my best time that i saw was 1:35, but i think i like counter clockwise better....i feel like i did really well my last run, i definately put everything i learned from that day into action so we'll see if there was improvement when they post the times on the site......

my best time last time was 1:35 also, but i know i was screwing up alot this time except the last session....man i have alot to work on plus i need to beef up the brakes some more...but i could definately feel the difference with the stage 1 suspension and the race pads(the ride home in LA traffic sucked with the pads)

all in all it was a good day...except for the guy in the wrx and the guy at big willow who lowsided his bike....ouch.

What exactly happened to the WRX? Did he lose it coming out of the skidpad turn onto the front straight? (That takes "talent"). Or what?

Yeah sure! Please post the pictures!! It happened right after I 1st try the EVo out with the progress sway bar on the middle setting, going down the front straight into the 1st turn, rear broke loose, Try to correct and it became a nightmare after that :)

Anyways, Good job Boostin' T.

Btw. Poor bird, atleast it was a quick instant death..

Yes, He was fishing tailing right after the skidpad, Then went sliding towards the pit area, lucky the fense caught the car, otherwise the car would of ate it at the barrier.

yea it took me a second to get comfortable with that first turn since the only time i raced was counter last time redline was out there.....oh and the chicane yikes that took a minute to get used to also!

heres the pics, no action shots though sorry!

ya truly embarassing i dunno if yu saw but even i went off roading too...right after the chicane....the slight turn afterwards....i came out of it too hot....and then overcorrected but i just went strait off into the dirt and slowed it down safely then pulled into the pit checked out the tires..all good and back out i went!

but that helped me with that tricky chicaine....i knew what NOT to do lol.

did u have a camera mounted on your roof at any time or was that a different one?

Spin out, driving out of line, off course are all events happen from learning, Nothing wrong with it. learn from it and improvise. I look at them as a experience to further improve my driving. Hopefully We'll all make it to the NOV event!!

Yes i had a camcorder mounted, I did not catch the 2 big spin out that i had though. I wished! That would be excellent footage.. I guess people were a bit scared to drive behind me afraid the roof mounted camera might fly off.. but it held on for the day!

Hey guys, white Lotus Exige driver here(advanced group) that was my dad running in intermediate.

I spoke with a few of you yesterday and snapped a bunch of pics and some crappy video.

I ended up turning a 1:29.7. There is definately more potential but it was my first time on the track with that car so I consider that pretty successful.

here is the link to the entire album:

The diamond start hunting a BBQ track day.

It was the first time there or on any track in that car. Had 3 previous track cars and have been doing it for a while now though. The streets is my favoite track. The Lotus is just a month old so its getting broken in to the track life style.

We have Cali speedway on the 21st and Buttonwillow on the 23rd coming up as well so its getting a good breakin :)
