I'm planning on running the mystery mobile on the Infield Roadcourse at California Speedway this Sunday (Oct. 22) with SpeedVentures. The event also runs on Sat. Oct. 21.

Anybody here going to be there?

I'll be there but only on the 21st. Taking the 22nd as a rest day then off to Buttonwillow monday for a Lotus Day. weeeee

and I like Cali speedway. even though though its been like 4 years since I've run there. I remeber it as being a happy track for the handling cars, not much of the hp cars. The track is in great condition and meticulously cared for. Nice run off it you over shoot turn 1 as well.

I will be there on the 22nd only (working in Rancho on the 21st). Figured it wouldn't be as fun without the oval part but, hey, I am in town and it still will be lot's of fun.... (EB IX)

Ok, so it's not Sears Point. But I wanted to run a track day this weekend, and at least it's local.

my friend? I did meet him today and he is on the boards here. We had a good little battle early in the day but I couldn't compete with the 480hp on the straights.

LOL Fastest EVO was mine when Aaron from SV drove my car and pass 4 cars including Dan's car, I was a passanger in Dan's car.

DMS RULES THE TRACK

Aaron only run my car for two laps and he flat spot my tire BUMMER oh well we settle the battle DMS VERSES MOTON at Laguna Seca ON Nov.

He forgot RS NO ABS

Does your car have a stock engine/turbo? Dan's car has exhaust and flash for power mods. Aaron is a faster driver as well, although Dan is no slouch.

I ran our race Evo for 15 minutes at 1 bar of boost and 5000 rpms to break in a fresh gearbox for next weekends Laguna Seca SCCA race. We have a really ambitious program set-up for next weekend, and it makes the 350 mile tow up there a lot easier when I am sure the car will shift and make boost the week before the event.

It was great to see such a good turnout at one of the most local track events one can get to.

Ok, so I ran my bone stok IX MR on Sunday. It understeers, has lots of body roll, and feel like it weighs 500 lbs. More than my track EVO. Plus I was afraid of hitting one of the many barriers on the infield. I don't think I'll be tracking the MR anytime soon again.

At least I had fun with my 8 year old son as my "pit crew".

I'm curious what times the super evos ran.

I was there both days, one of the graphite gray evo IX's. I saw a bunch of evos and talked to several owners including Richard. Unfortunately I can't tie the screen names/cars to the faces.

I ran a 1:15 and change (i forgot exactly). My mods are coilovers/sway (Robispecd') and Ra1s. Second place for street turbo in the time attack behind the porsche gt2 which was running 1:11's I think. How a gt2 running hoosiers gets classed with a mostly stock evo is beyond me... LOL.

It was a different configuration. There are different chicane options on the back straight. The Redline event had the more sever and , hence, slower layout. I remember murdering many cones that day.

Acutally, as I recall, the course kept changing during the day. It seemed to get slightly shorter every time you murdered another cone. lol
