techinically a BOV is before the cat...so it is illegal. someone out there got a fix it ticket or it

yes, if you get your hood popped and they see a shiny peice of object with "hks" or "greddy" on it with no CARB sticker. its not a big deal though. the bov can be switched within minutes, literally.

lol the bov is in plain view. if you have a jdm one, you can say its an oem peice :D
if they see "hks" or "greddy", thats not oem for sure, lol.

If a cop is anal about things and doesn't know what you have, he will just send you straight to the Ref. I know people who have been sent to the ref because they had a K&N intake with a CARB number. I pulled off my intercooler pipes, intake pipe, and BOV from my Talon and sanded, primed, and painted them a flat black. You cant even tell that its not OEM anymore. I do miss the famous purple from the greddy bov though.

I have even had people who are fellow DSM/evo guys over look whats been done to the car. haha
