View Full Version : EVO IX NGK Spark Plug part numbers

The IX uses different spark plugs than the VIII, so here are the part numbers if you're in need of new plugs:

Here's the OEM part number which goes for around $11/plug: ILFR7H

Here's the OEM equivelant which goes for around $7/plug: LFR7AIX

an i always try to stick with OEM plugs, IMO there worth it! they last slightly longer than your equivelant plugs ... :)

The oem ngk also go by part number 5245.

one thig nice about IX oem spark plugs is that, they are gap at .20mm-0.22mm from the factory/recomendation also.

^^^ Yes. FOr evo 8 we gap them smaller like .22mm-24mm when running higher boost without misfiring. So most of us evo 8 owners would get new/different type plugs so we can gap them. It's possible to gap the OEm Iridium plugs, but they are pain in the ass.

RRE sells the IX plugs for only $12/each
