Like everything else, those who pay dumb dollars for the Valentine have to justify paying extra for what the Escort does just as well. Mind you I like the concealed kit for it Valentine that is.

I have the Escort X50 and it has never let me down yet. Got it after I got a $300 dollar ticket by the time all was said and done. Great investment if you are going to have a lead foot!

I am running the escort unit on my car w/blue led CAUSE I AM A BAD ASS hahhahah,

If a cop is using radar, this thing screams way before I can see where the cop is hiding :) It give me a heads up to keep accelerating to pass them at around 160, nice little head start you know hahahaha just kidding.

This is really a nice unit, I am not a fan of the valentine. Its a little over priced and looks like something made in 1980. I am sure that they both have the same range of catching whats out there but the Escort looks so much nicer. It has about 2 mile range on it, really helps when driving to Vegas. I drive up there a lot and have heard this thing beeping and I wouldn't see the cop on the other side of the freeway for at least 1 minute. Thats plenty of time to slow down :)

I know exactly what you are going through, I was in the market a few months ago and asking everyone in the world what they thought between the 2. I even called the manufactures and wanted to hear their sales pitch and see if anything they said could convince me of either unit. I ended up with the Escort 8500k Blue Led purchased from Best Buy :) Super happy

Now here is the downside, I do not have the guts to drive any of my cars without this thing. You get addicted, I drove my friend's WRX to Ontario and was so afraid of the freeway...............hahaha...........I have no idea why :)

I have to agree with this.

I've heard many good things about both radars. I haven't seen the Escort in action, but I've had experiences with the Valentine. I am currently not using any type of radar, but in search for a Valentine.

doesn't the valentine tell you if cops are behind you too?

yes... valentine lets you know behind you, beside you, and in front of you. pretty cool feature.
