Buttonwillow Test & Tune Festival Dec. 9 & 10

Good news!!!Â* They are running configuration #25-A for the Test & Tune Festival at Buttonwillow on the weekend of Dec. 9 & 10.Â* Clockwise on Sat. and Counterclockwise on Sun. (my favorite).

And its a great deal.Â* Open Test & Tune Fridays at Buttonwillow are normally $175, but the weekend festival is two days for the price of one!!!

It's usually 2 run groups (open wheel and closed wheel) alternating 20 to 25 minute sessions, so you get like 10 sessions in a day.Â* There are no passing rules, other than be safe.Â* It is definitely not for n00bs.

Just show up by 7:30 a.m. with cash in hand (but I think they take credit cards too).

be aware that 'test and tune' usually means no flaggers and no saftey equipment.

There are two flaggers, which is obviously a skeleton crew at Buttonwillow. I don't remember if there was an ambulance the 2 times I ran the open test and tune. There was definitely a tow truck.
