Just bought the TV yesterday. Still need to do cable management but other than that it is done. TV is a Sony KDL46XBR3.

I will say one thing. 1080p gaming and movies are the shit. My Xbox wouldn't do 1080p but from what I have read there is a fix in the works to address the issues of 1080p with component cables. I wish the 360 supported HDMI.

Checked out the bluray disc version of Xmen 3 and it was amazing looking. Netflix is carrying bluray now which rocks. Just having bluray for movies makes my PS3 purchase that much more worth it. The difference from stadard HD movies has to be seen to believe. I can wait for all the games that will be coming out over the coming months in 1080p. It is a good time to be alive! Surround sound is going to be added as soon as I find one I want.

Damn you are as bad as me, how much difference is there between 1080i and 1080p? do you notice the difference? and I am sure with a setup like that you have the component cables for the Wii right, anyways sweet set up.

Pixelation is not as bad on a 1080p. There is a difference between 1080i and 1080p but usually you are paying a very high premium to get 1080p compare to 1080i or 720p. That being said when I buy one it will definitely be a 1080p. Also make sure if you are going to game or have a bunch of still pictures you avoid Plasma. The color seems richer with the black being very black but the burn in factor isnt so good.

Its not the iMac thats blocking you. You have a fiewall or websense, or a proxy server thats blocking you. You could be using linux, a PC, a Unix workstation, or any Apple workstation and the results would be the same.

I have a 32 samsung flat I bought earlier this year, it supports 1080i. I dont know how anything could look better than Gears on the 360 with this setup but?. Did you hear about the xb360 v2? its supposed to have a HDMI port, 120gb hard drive and a cooler running processor. I dont know if its truth or rumor, I saw pics of it but who knows with photochop and all.

I think there is a noticeable difference. It could be my mind telling me there is one but it looks very crisp. We have been watching blu-ray movies on it and they look amazing and yes I have component cables for my Wii. Was the first thing I ordered when I got it home. ;)
