Dyno Database Project: Evo 8 Stock/ish Turbo OVER 325Whp

All cars tuned by Alfred unless otherwise noted. Guest tuners are common, so if someone spots a mistake, I'll rectify it asap. If one of these is your car, please post up your modifications below and I'll add your details above your dyno chart. In order from higest peak numbers to lowest:

Alain Alba (Alan678): This VIII is mind boggling. The light blue graph is a 91 octane tune making 355whp. It was done in late May 07. Then about a week later (June 2nd to be exact), the race tune was done making 416/419. This was done on F & L 111oct Leaded Race Fuel (Pay @ the pump here in Vista, CA at only 6.85 a gallon). The stock components around the performance add-ons are: Stock air box w/scoop, stock intake manifold w/throttle body, stock upper intercooler piping, stock exhaust manifold w/heat shield, stock o2 housing, stock fuel rail, & stock ECU.

Original motor, TME 6.5 Turbo, HKS 264I/272E, AMS standard intercooler, Xede with Xedeflash. On Shiv's dyno, this car did 332whp.

Car was retuned by Shiv a few months later with a base flash and an Xede to do simple flip switch 91/100 maps.Â* Made exactly the same power and curve but with a .5 increase in AFR's.Â* To me, it speaks to just how great a tuner Alfred is as well as how close you can get between SAFC vs. flash.

Car was retuned by Shiv a few months later with a base flash and an Xede to do simple flip switch 91/100 maps.Â* Made exactly the same power and curve but with a .5 increase in AFR's.Â* To me, it speaks to just how great a tuner Alfred is as well as how close you can get between SAFC vs. flash.

mods were:Â* 110 octane, 26psi, MBC, 3" TBE, ebay o2, 10.5, walbro, hks 280i/272e, HPF IC piping, K&N typhoon intake, APS dual-vent BOV.
Stock intercooler, turbo, and injectors.

I still made over 325 whp on the 91 map as well.

You can post it here. I'll put it in the database for you. For anyone reading, I finally updated the Evo 9 stock turbo database up to the end of February (two months of updates). I'm doing the same for the Evo 8s this week too. As soon as I get back to TTech, I'll download the March and April customer dynos and get those up too.

GSC 272s, ARP Headstuds, AMS FMIC and LICP, High flow cat with test pipe (not installed), K&N Drop-in, Walbro 255, TT TBE, Dejon Tool MBC, DEFI BF Link Amber Gauges (Boost, EGT, and OP) with Link Controller along with the gauge console, and of course, TT reflash/tune. O0

And oh, I cant wait to go back there again next month for my newest (or next) mod, Smoggy. :twisted:

Mods on the car during that tune were buddy club 264/272 cams, 720 cc injectors, 255 fuel pump, tbe, mbc, afc 2, aem intake, and arp head studs. That dyno run was on 100 octane.

3diamondxpress here, i just got tuned from alfred at tt nad i just got 415whp/393wtrq on torco mach series 100oct. at 25 psi. alfred also showed how to switch maps on my aem ems. thaks alfred and tt crew.

So I went out to good old Tuning Technologies to get a little more tweaks to the tune before I head out to Texas.Â* I wanted Alfred to tune slightly more aggressive than normal because the octane will be better in Texas and that should put me in a safe area.Â* I also had to get my Safe Injection Module installed that is an add-on to the Meth kit which pulls boost back in case there is something wrong with the flow.

Anyway, here are the results (on 91 pump):
