I need some recommendations for local dialup providers whom have a lot of dialup numbers in the area and/or nationwide.

Thanks!

if you have DSL, you should be able to connect to your ISP's dialup with no extra charge.

i think now a days its better to just go with dsl... you get way better speed and the prices now are pretty low..... you can usually find some company with a good deal to start off with.... i think we got our verizon dsl like 2-3 months ago and the plan was only 17.99/month for the first year then it goes up to 34.99/month for the next year.....its worth it cause you'll upload/download everything way faster...

if you guys have good packages (phone/satellite/cable/internet) let me know as well. Im currently looking for service for my HDTV.

as for dial up, I saw a commercial about PeoplePC and they claim they have more numbers then AOL and is 10.95 a month

I already have a broadband connection at home. I just need a dialup connection in case my broadband goes down and/or if i'm travelling.

Like I said, if you have DSL, you can just lookup the dialup numbers and login using your email address and password.

I have SBCGLOBAL (ATT now I guess). But everytime I need to connect out of town, I just look for their local numbers without any problems or extra charge. They even have numbers in Lake Tahoe (actually Truckee which is the closest city)

But if you have cable then that's a different story. I don't think cable has that option.
