I am getting conflicting information. Can someone clarify if the officer has to submit a declaration by the same date as the person doing the TBD or does the officer recieve notice that a TBD has been filed and then the officer has 30 days after such date to file a reply declaration?

The length of time it takes to get a decision will depend on how busy the courts are, how lazy the clerks are, and whether or not the officer requested additional time to file his/her declaration.

Its a "lengthy" process... I did one last year.... I got the ticket in Sept 05 and got my check back in June of 06.....

How long does it usually take for them to make a decision? I turned mine tbd in almost 2 months ago.

^^Not necessarily. Â*I've have had one come back with a decision just three days after the submission due date. Â*The judgment was entered just three days after the declaration was filed. Â*However, notice of the decision was not served until almost a month later! Â*This is what I mean about the laziness of the clerks and their workload.

Well, all that matters is that your insurance will not know about this infraction because it will not become a point till it's settled.

I bet you forgot about it, so it ends up being a present! haha

LOL, by the time you get your check back, the city had already made enough interest to equal the money they are paying back to you.
