Congradulations to the TT crew this weekend.Â* Its not everyday that a small family run shop with a limited budget can put together a Time Attack car that can run with the big dogs.Â*

I think everyone should know what happened this weekend.Â* We all know what smoggy's car has under the hood.Â* Its Alfred's knowledge coupled with his experience, and a little of his magic thrown in.Â* It has been the topic of conversation on this forum for many months now.Â* Yesterday it was put to the test and performed exceptionally well.Â* With a CONSERVATIVE tune, coilovers, a stock drive train behind the Exedy, and stock rotors with race pads, the car placed second in the Redline Time Attack event at Cal Speedway yesterday.

It needs to be known that first place was the Crawford STI that has a much larger budget and should have been in the modified class, in my opinion.Â* Very few items on the Crawford STI were OEM.Â* It also needs to be known that there was only one Evo that turned a faster time than the TT car.Â* That was the AMS full race Evo!

This is a huge accomplishment for a small shop with no prior race experience.Â* To Alfred, Jenn, Tom, Jason and the rest of the TT crew, outstanding job!

First off, we will be creating a thread with all the details on this event very very soon. We are trying to wait for the results to be posted up on the redline website.

We did have two cars in the event, one in STREET and one in Modified. We did take 2nd place by .7 sec. I believe to the Crawford Sti. Stay tuned for the full story!!

Great job TT

smoggies car is far from oem. Quirt is not on a huge budget either. When i drove the silver sti a few weeks ago, it was running on a oem ecu too!

just out of curiosity & my ignorance, but what criteria are you judging the crawford car to be in the modifed class vs. smoggies?

I never judged anything it was simply my opinion. I saw both cars the day of the event, not several weeks ago.

Went to see Alfred, Jen, Paul and the rest of the crew today and have to say that I have never had a more positive and informative visit to any tuner shop. Alfred took the time to go over my turbo choices but ended up showing me the 3076 kit which will be going on the car once I get it. They also talked about the time attack and I was very impressed. Good job to the crew at TT and I can't wait to do business with them.
