Does anyone have one of those pressurized brake bleeders that I could borrow for a day? I am looking to do my brakes lines this weekend and will probably be on my own. Or, if someone wants to help, that'd be cool too.

Too bad you're in SD... You can make your own "bleeder" Just get an empty bottle, 3/16" inner diameter clear vinyl tubing, and an 11mm flare nut wrench.

Where are you in SD? I just did my brakes a few weeks ago. New rotors, pads, and SS lines. I have all the tools needed including the tubing wrench. I will PM you my number I am free tomorrow.

got your pm...

I'm in mission hills. I've got a 1 car garage to do it in, or if you'd prefer, i could bring it over to your place. I really appreciate the offer btw.

big thanks to Andy (evomaniac) He offered up his garage and help putting in my brake lines and new pads.

Much appreciated, let me know when you want some help with yours.

Nice to meet you and it was no problem helping you out. I will definitely give you a call when I do my clutch.

How many miles do you have till you replace your brakes? what kind did you put and how much did it set you back?

careful not to overtorque and/or strip the bleeder screw... otherwise it'll strip the caliper and render it useless... trust me... i'm screwed on mine

i was at 46K on the stock rear brakes. they were totally done. the front brembo pads had plenty of life left (they were already replaced once), but i replaced them anyway.

I put on Ferodo ds2500 pads front and rear.

pads were $280 and stoptech lines were $140. I used ATE Super Blue brake fluid.

Not bad. Most peps say go with motul.

i wanted to flush the old fluid completely and be able to see the blue fluid.

motul is more than most people will ever need imo. pretty expensive too.
either way, the car stops better now.
