(Mods...please move to "how to's" if you think this is worthy)

Decided to post a pseudo "how to" after I finished the install. Â*This will hopefully help some of the SoCalEvo members that will be getting their badges from Coolguy.
Average time to complete - 5 minutes if you rush.... 10 if you had a meal and a beer.
This is what I did for my install.... It is not the end all be all process but was simple, with precision and took minimal effort.
Materials I used:
Painters Tape (blue for contrast) or any tape to create a visible level line across the trunk. Â*NO duct tape for obvious reasons.
Piece of string or dental floss and a quarter to visually see center for the badge.
Crayon or grease pencil to mark the vertical center line.
LEVEL - important to see if your tape line is straight. Â*If you trust your eyeball and think you're level...go for it.
(In the pictures below... you will see the badge already installed..just pretend its not there.. or consider it a before and after simultaneously.)
1. Â*Prep the area for the badge. Â*Basically free from debris and dust.
2. Â*Using the painter's tape, tape along the seam (buldge) on the center portion of the trunk. Â*This will be used to line up your badge horizontally. Â*Use a level to check if you have drawn a straight line. Â*PLEASE NOTE - the seam along the back of the trunk DOES curve so this is the importance of the level.

3. Â*Use a string with a quarter hanging on it to find a vertical center line for the badge. Â*Based on research on evom and measurements taken, the center of the badge is down the letter "T".
Now, MOVE the quarter higher up out of the way or mark a line for center using your crayon or grease pencil. Â*

4. Â*Your badge comes with two plastic strips attached, white (back) and clear (front). Â*Do a dry test fit. Â*
When ready, you will peel (SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY) the white strip away, this will expose the back of the badge with the lettering adhesive now exposed. Do not drop it, swing it or dance with it. Â*The front of your letters are held in place with the clear tape. Â* You are now holding the badge with the clear tape with your left and right hand looking at it as if you were reading it. Â*WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BADGE LETTERS TO THE TRUNK yet, kneel down and line up (with the top angled away so the letters don't touch the trunk) the bottom of the clear tape TO the TOP of your masking tape line AND center your "T" on the centerline you marked. Â*
REMEMBER... YOU ARE NOT ALIGNING THE LETTERS TO THE TAPE LINE... YOU ARE ALIGNING THE BOTTOM OF THE CLEAR TAPE TO YOUR TAPE LINE. Â*THIS METHOD WILL ONLY WORK IF YOUR LETTERS WERE ORIGINALLY ALIGNED CORRECTLY ON YOUR CLEAR TAPE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. Â*IF YOUR LETTERS APPEAR SKEWED... THEN MOVE YOUR TAPE LINE UP APPROX HALF INCH AND ALIGN USING THE BOTTOM OF THE LETTERS INSTEAD.
Once you are lined up horizontally and vertically... slowly rotate your wrists toward the trunk and set your lettering in place.
Before removing the clear tape... PRESS down on each letter to make sure they are set in place. Â*I gently/firmly traced over each letter with a flat finger tip (NOT FINGERNAIL) as if I were drawing the letters by hand to ensure every part of the letter is in place.
Then slowly remove the clear tape and....... admire your handy work? or call Coolguy for another one and grumble all day for wasting $80.00. Â*

Again...sorry for the before and after at once.... I wasn't intending to do this but thought it might help some.
