I am here at TT and am getting tuned on 91. Here is a list of my mods.... What do you think I will make?????

I can't tell you all the #s but Nate is a happy Evo owner. Hint: Almost as "Happy as a LARK". Not quite but close enough. That is all I am allowed to post at this time but Nate will chime in soon after he gets trained on how to use the tactrix cable to flash his maps when desired.

Just another day at the shop. Alfred has been making big numbers on 91 and 100 for a long time. I have to admit that it would be nice to have an Evo9 that was almost stock with these mods. I miss the close to stock days, especially when you make enough power to run 11s on the 91 and the stock turbo!

why bother with the EMS when you can do speed density via stock ECU FTMFW!!!!!! and at less $$$ then purchasing an AEM EMS ... :buck2:

thats an entire different thing but for most guys that are on the stock turbo, we finally have choices... you on the other hand are in an entire different league loll..

That GM MAF w/ MAF translator looks interesting...and you can still use piggyback with it.

Also, Bryan@GST tuning is doing stuff with GM boost solenoids too. 200-300 sooner spool while holding boost better is DEFINITELY interesting, regardless of hp numbers.

I got a EBC, I need to get a high spring actuator next tune. So i can raise the boost more. 361 is just amazing, I need to call TT tomorrow and talk to them LOL!

Birdie your set-up and numbers were no Joke on 91 oct. Lets all remember that on the VIII with a 30 R--- 370-390WHP was considered at least average and some dynoed lower(3071/3037/3076 etc). However with 100 oct 450+ whp was obtainable on the 3037 and 3076 and considered a good tune. From what I remember the 3071 made similar pump gas numbers as the 3037/76 but on race gas the 3071 was not on par with them. Also 35Rs make similar whp on 91 oct when compared to 30 Rs but on race gas the the similarities diminish.

1. Hence my hypothesis

I have a feeling your turbo will shine with a race gas tune and fall somewhere in the 430 whp neighborhood. I would predict at least 420 minimum. Get that thing tuned on race gas at 28+ psi and you will be very happy. I would not change your cams until you see what shes got on the good gas.Â*

I have a 3 1/2 inch GM Maf in my garage along with a Maf translator. I'm only poking a little fun at stuff. Maybe someday I'll actually install it and see how it works.

He has studs! As for the 15 tq with 5 more psi on maxxed out stock turbo. Doesn't sound absurd or abnormal.

Seriously, I only have the GSC cams, not even the S1's... He pulled 30 more horse with only injectors and an 02 housing lol.

I don't think there anyone that have dyno GSC S1 with just minor bolts on on 91 octane.

It is not rough at all for 91 octane and it certainly doesn't need an ignition upgrade. Here is what completely stock Evos look like on this same dyno compared to this tune:

stock IX's see 250-270whp on dynojets, and 210-230whp on mustangs/dyno dynamics, at least in california most of the time it reads that way.

cosworth cams on the IX ftw. unless someone else with any GSC cams can convince me otherwise :D

You did great also. Both of you have 11 sec capable cars. However, since you have the VIII with the superior drag race gearing you will likely have an easier time getting an 11 sec timeslip. Shifting into 5th will make it difficult for Nate to get 11s eventhough his car has a superior power band. However, who cares about the Apes past-time like Drag Racing. Me and Smoggy do but we have Geico commercial potential.
