it gets alittle rough for an evo in my opinion last time I went up in my buddies 4x2 frontier we saw a dodge caravan coming downhill so if you evo is in rally mode maybe????

What's the issue? clearance? loose gravel damaging paint? rough surface bad for suspension?

^yea, i went to Silvrado the other day to check it out, there is a big wash that looks too hard to pass through.

there is another way up the mountain from the backside...iirc, the exit is "Indian Truck Trail" off the 15S...

If you talk about the one right after (less than 100ft) from the gate, it was the one that made me turn around.

^thats the one...i used to go out there in my 5.8L Bronco 4x4.
there are 3 other roads that go up there...but the only car friendly one is off the backside...
