demo was supposed to be out april but never released..... and the game's release date is may 30th.... who knows if it'll make it though or get pushed back for final touches...this game runs at an incredible frame rate and should have awesome graphics, and more realistic damage this time around.. have you guys seen how you can hook up 4 xbox 360's to 4 tv's, have them all side by side and have basically a huge different view of the entire track while your racing? thats pretty damn unique but who the fuck is gonna go buy 4 tv's and 4 360's LOL....

first off when comparing the two, i consider them both "demos"
For me personally i just like the "feel" of GT more, the balance and the behavior of the cars "seem" more real, i know its not realistic like GTR or simulators like that but i think the GT series does the best job of finding a really good balance between fun and simulator. GT is the only game that i can have hours of fun just lapping to better my times. I also think that the GT HD graphics completely destroy Forza 2, Forza 2 almost looks like crap next to it.
Now given all that ive since spent some more time with the Forza demo and it really does look promising but and i am looking forward to the final game and hopefully racing some fellow EVO guys online O0

Man I love this game. The sound of the dirt when you go off the track is so real. I just got done doing my first Endurance Race (Which is long and drawn out I must say) In the D Class Race. Heres a Picture of my car on lap 44 of 45 laps. The paint near the tires starts to get dirty up due to driving the car for so long. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

I was checking this out the other day.. I can't place my finger on it, but there appears to be some difference in the way Americans model their cars vs. the way the Japanese do it. Forza2 has great visuals and scenery, but the models, for lack of better words, look like they're from a PC game. GTHD on PS3 has more detailed models - perhaps it uses a higher polygon count?

Only certain cars can have engine swaps. It will be the last option under upgrades->engine and power, called "Powertrain swap"

I'm not saying it's not the shit...I'm just saying that I was highly disappointed when 4 came out because they had promised so much more (damage, online play, more customizing options), I loved GT3, but 4 was just 3 with the option of a spoiler and NOS....not the best upgrade to such a prestigious racing game.

You want the best graphics (on car models) on earth then get GT4,HD,or 5. You want overall good looking graphics and physics then get Forza(2).

When Forza Motorsport first came out for the X-Box it started a neverending war between the loyal GT fans and the racing sim newcomers. I personally am a GT fan, always have been always will be.....but I'll be honest and say they fucked up GT4 and disappointed alot of people. Forza had alot of innovative ideas that GT was going to and should have done but didn't, that really put them ahead in my book, but as far as graphics wise....well GT will always win that category.

The thing I really don't like about the GT community is the amount of fanboyism. If you understand that GT4 was a flop and still like it anyways, then you're a fan. If you think GT1, 2, 3, 4, HD, are way better than Forza 2 then chances are you're a fanboy.

after playing forza 2 for the last few hours i can say ive totally changed my mind and this game is really really fun.... everything about it is awesome in a different aspect than GT, and i like that about it... It does have awesome graphics for a 360 title and i like pretty much everything about it, including the driving style which is different from GT... The only complaint i have left now is that some of the tracks are pretty dull and i have yet to encounter a track with any sort of uphill or downhill so that kinda sucks.... But besides that im really starting to have fun with this game and it will keep me entertained for quite a while i presume O0

FYI next time, Costco doesn't scan serial #'s when you buy a 360 from there... I have confirmed this. I have heard Walmart does not as well... But walmart does scan Sony and Nin products. Go figure...
