it can be used in evo's with standalones and widebands. you just have to know what to tune for (completely different than gasoline).

how does the smog check work if you're running e85? let's say you're moving in from texas and changing plates so you're doing the smog/emissions test and all that. my evo has a tbe set up with a resonated tp...would that fail the smog if i was running e85?

put a stock or high flow cat on and don't tell the smog guy you're running E85 since its technically illegal to convert per the EPA. You shold be able to pass though.

The thread is three years old and so is that price

There is an E85 thread dedicated to locations and prices

damn that sux. I was so looking forward to getting tuned on e85, but that's a little too far away from Miramar to drive to fill up. Even though it's a little pricey, it's a lot cheaper then paying close to $8/ gallon for 110. I did find one place in Santee, CA that sells it, but you need to be a member and use of their cards. Not sure what's all involved with getting a membership, but might be worth looking into. Guess i'll just retune my car for 91 and call it a day when i get paid next.

i think that price is way outdated since the thread was started 3 yrs ago..i'm sure it's a lot cheaper now. i posted on this thread to ask how the smog thing worked for E85 converted evos.

It's like $2.50/gal now around SD. I get mine from Carlsbad and it's $2.54/gal right now.
