i just installed the stewart warner boost gauge... and as i suspected i was boosting 15psi... and quickly drops to 11-12 psi :-\
I have a GFB stealth FX bov, espellir catback... could the bov be the reason im not at 19psi?
im probably gonna buy a dejon mbc tomorrow and they should set it to 21psi, im actually going to srt motorsports to get it installed...
should it be fine if they just turn it up to 21 psi or if i have a boost leak will it still be boosting lower?

Could be the BOV or a boost leak somewhere else. It looks like you have a IX so many here will ask why you changed your BOV and recommend you put back on the stock one since the IX has a good blowoff valve. FYI - A MBC won't overcome a boost leak but I am sure SRT can help you diagnose the issue.

well I only hooked up one cable... with that splitter, so right now the lights arent working on the boost gauge...
but idk... are these gauges known to be off?

Is your car used? Sounds like a MBC was installed/removed and the stock vaccume lines werent connected. If you bought your car new, then something is wrong with the stock lines/solonoid.

Last thing- Does your gauge read in PSI or BAR? LOL ... 1.5 Bar dropping to 1.1-1.2 is different than 15psi dropping to 11-12psi.

Stewart Warner Gauges although plain - seem to be very consistant and arent known to be off ...

Ginuwine hit on what I was thinking... I put my MBC on for the first time as fresh meat and missed a hose and you get 15psi with drop to 12 so look at the solenoid and the other connections...

If thats the case put your stock 9 DV back on first- and see if the boost has changed. If its still not fix- take your car in- should be covered under warranty. Does your SW gauge read in PSI or BAR?

check all clamps around your BOV... BOV spring might not be set right, might just be pouring out boost when you don't want it to.

Uh... and like the people said above, put your stock "BPV" (AKA Recirculation valve) back on! IX BPV is nice and metallic, unlike the VIII, plastic piece of crap.

oh, um SRT motorsports should be able to find out what is wrong. Dejon MBC: good choice.

P.S. your checking your boost in 3rd (4th if an MR) gear right?

+1 for 3rd or 4th gear on MR.

damn the ricer side of me LOL
ive checked the boost in all gears... and the most it gets to is 15psi and usually stays at 11-13 psi
idk i really want to get it fixed, i was just at srt motorsports but no one was there ;(
i really hope its not the bov, but if it is I will switch back...
the GFB recirculates and vents... so could it be that im like venting too much or somethin?

no, that only effects you in between shifts

is there a good chance it could be a boost leak? could they check that at srt motorsports?

It sounds like it it could be that, or a number of other things explained above, things that should be easily fixed.

Make sure to explain to SRT your situation, they should be able to get you fixed up.
