Here is Vortech_g35's new dynochart. Straight 91 octane. Awesome spoolup for a 35R. Better than many 3076s:

Mods:
Evo 9
AMS 35R kit
Cosworth cams
Turbo back exhaust with resonator
MBC
TTech lower intercooler pipe
Greddy intercooler
wierd 910cc injectors (that turned out to work well, btw)
Sexy AMS spark plug coverÂ* ;)

Here is Vortech's and EvoNate's IX's dyno graphs together. Almost the same mods (Cosworth cams, exhaust, etc.) but with with stock turbo:

http://www.socalevo.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10300/Andrew%20ams%2035r%20on%2091%20graph.jpg
http://www.socalevo.net/gallery/albums/userpics/12178/normal_Tuning%20Technologies%20EVONATE%20PUMP.jpg

On 91 octane, EvoNate wins big 'til 4500 rpms, then its a toss between 4500 and 6000rpms. After that, the 35R owns it pretty big, even on 91. Still, if I was limited to 91, I'd stick with the stock turbo (but I'm not, so I went big too.)

That's a really nice graph. All in a days work at TT. O0

Thanks Tom for posting it up!!Â* I was about ready to go to Kinko's to scan it. Hopefully you guys will be there this Sat.Â* I would like to get retuned on race gasÂ*.Â* If you guys read this msg, I was wondering if Alfred could make me a UICP by Saturday.Â* I left paul a msg about something else, but if you can relay this msg it would be awesomeÂ* O0.

good spool up and the torque curve is pretty damn flat all the way to 7000rpm...

Damn, I didn't know the stock could make so much torque over the 35R down low. It makes 2x torque @3500. Still, good looking Hp/tq curve till redline. Being under 4.5k would be so boring with that turbo, lol...kind of like a s2k before vtekkk. Is there any turbo that hits good torque down low, but still makes high numbers up top like the 35R and has potential to hit 500+whp?

wow 35R hitting full boost by 4500rpm. That's really good, I have seen some hit full boost by 5000rpm. Graph looks good! congrats on the numbers and TT does it again!

Tom, my appointment is schedule for April 21st. The AMS VSR is going in with 65mm TB.

Ahh the dream of the wonder turbo! On a 2.0...No

lol, as you can probably tell I don't own an Evo, just a lurker for now. Would adding a AMS 2.3 Stroker kit w/ GT35R make comparable torque down low as stock or would you have to go with GT3067 to make any decent toque before 4k?

I think as far as spool goes 35r with a stroker ends up being like a 3076 with a 2.0
and a 3076 with a stroker is like a 3071 with a 2.0
and a 3071 with a stroker is almost like a stock turbo

My 2.3 35r makes full boost at 4200 in 3rd gear with the ATP kit (not the best design).

Interesting. Very good 35r setup and tune. It spools sooner than my 35r about 300rpm. The different must be somewhere in the cams and IX (mine is 03 VIII). The peak power and torque are same (take a look at the attached dynosheet). Enjoy the car man.

Here is vortech_g35's graph and my car's graph at about the same boost and Air:Fuel ratio (I'm running the 2.3 stroker and TTech's turbo kit.) It isn't perfect apples to apples as I am running 100octane on this pull and slightly more aggressive timing. Andrew, this it the tune I was running when you and I went to Autozone:

That is what I used to think, but in fact the stroker with 35R makes WAY more power, WAY sooner than a 2.0 with a 3076. I have a graph for that too and will post it in a couple of minutes.

Good info, can't wait to see the graph. I saw the dyno for John's stroker with I think a 35R and it spooled way sooner than a 3076 on a 2.0 as mentioned above

Here is a graph that is really close to apples vs apples for the purpose of comparing 2.0 w/3076 and 2.3 w/35R. Both cars are at about 26/27psi, both have tuning tech's turbo kit, both have stock airboxes, both have HKS cams, both have the same Nisei intercooler, and same tuner. Red graph is 2.3 with 35R, blue is stock 2.0 with 3076.(BTW, Alfred tortures his car: dude is crazy taking his stock block to 8300rpms)

I agree with the power for sure. Bigger turbo, bigger displacement, more air consumed, more power at the same boost. But do you have any peak boost @ X rpm graphs or logs for comparison?

I don't have Zeitronix logs of other cars and where they hit 20psi, but I have one of mine. Remember this is a third gear pull. Fourth and fifth gear pulls spool hundreds of rpms earlier. Still, full boost at 3900rpm is amazing to me:
