hack the Pioneer AVIC-Z2 to play DVDs and navigate while driving?

Is this version even hackable? I remember you can bypass it on the earlier models by 'making' the unit think that the car is in park when it's not so DVD can be played.

have you tried surfing the avic411.com site? It's got a plethora of information specific to the Pioneer AVIC units... I bet someone there knows, or if you follow that forum, you'll discover the bypass hack... Good luck!

on my Z1, to bypass you just have to flash the headlights on when it says "Please wait while loading" and it will be bypassed. not sure if that'll work on the Z2 as well...there is an actual circuit you can install...but i got one and now i cant find it. :-\ :oops:
