ehh $2500 doesnt justify 380 whp.

Can get 360 on a stock 9 motor, throw some 100 octane and you can be close to 400.

idk .. just my 2 cents.

why you selling it?

It is the shops turbo. It came off a customers car who is now selling his car.

take your two cents back... not needed here...

take into consideration that this person has an evo8...

obviously the evo8 vs. the evo9 respond differently to such modifications...

take into consideration the supporting mods...
supporting mods for the evo8 vs. the evo9 vary slightly again...

also take into consideration that the seller did not verify the supporting mods to obtain 380 whp... so the sky's the limit...

close to last consideration to take would be the damaged compressor wheel... although it may not have been devastating... i bet a perfect wheel would yield a bit more hp...

lastly... take into consideration that you should think before you type something to try to bring down a good sale..

I sold my AMS 35R turbo kit 7 months ago for $3200. It sold so quick that I never even had to advertise it. One of the first Evo people I mentioned it to contacted a friend and immediately bought it. The ams kit is $4400 brand new.

How does that kind of damage happen to the compressor wheel? Jw

Thinking about this kit, but id have to replace compressor wheel and then heat coat everything to keep stealth....

It was really odd, we installed the kit new on a EVO. Two months later roughly, we pulled it off and it was like that. The car was NEVER run without a air filter so I'm at a loss too. It was then installed on another EVO and it did great.

Remember the kit is complete, all water, oil feed and return lines. The intake, downpipe and Tial 38mm wastegate.

for those of you who don't know, this is the kit that used to be on my evo back in the day... i too don't know how that happened, but it never gave me any problems. it is a great turbo kit and works great, it was put on an evo 9 that also ran great and had no problems, and it is now the shops turbo kit...

i ran an 11.6 @ 120 in 110 degree weather on this kit in fontana last year.. with a 1.8 60 ft

When it made 380whp what were the supporting mods and what evo a 8 or a 9?

Alfred@TTech
06-25-2007, 01:04 PM
The kit was on a Stage 1++ EVO VIII and a Stage 1++ EVO IX.

Cams, Fuel pump, Injectors, Intercooler and piping, Boost controller

It made these numbers on both cars. This kit went 11.8 @ 118 on its first pass at the track. It will make power.

Yes, you will need larger injectors. I'd recommend Precision 720s. They will easily take you over 500whp if you would want to push it that far. If you don't have a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, that would be needed as well. Finally, you would want to install cams to make the most of it but they would not be required.

Yes, and an upgraded fuel pump, which would run you about $100
